On the subject of horn-less qunari being 'chosen', there are cultures in this world that consider a lack of skin pigment - albinism - special and near godly. I don't think it's far fetched for those missing horns to be held in such high regard.

I would guess at an Ashkaari, ergo a scholar.tmp7704 wrote...

Am I the only one intrigued by the similarities between Flemeth's horns, her white hair, clawed gauntlets, and the new qunari?
It wouldn't be too far fetched if Flemeth's new form is a female qunari.

I thought Flemeth's "horns" was just her hair style.

ORLY? You mean, besides the skin color, shirtless muscle, angry face, and red body paint? So yeah, no resemblance as long as you ignore the most obvious elements?
We are not saying they copied Kratos design (which by the way looks exactly like Kevin Garnett) we are only saying it LOOKS a lot like Kratos.
I have no idea what the inspiration for it was

Nope, so am I. Though I got distracted by the qunari MAN HUNK. UNF.
*ahem* Anyway, does that mean that Flemeth's new body was once a qunari? Or based on a qunari? Her skin's a little pasty, so that might not fit. Though I wouldn't put it past Flemeth to body-steal from a qunari.

But if the horns can be removed would you not remove them so you would also be special?

It comes out from her hair, but they are clearly horns. They look like her new dragon form horns too.

Actually, its white body paint on him. That isn't his skin color. In the first screenshot you can sort of see hues of bronze underneath (doubt BioWare would change the entire race's skin color)There is some resemblence, sure, but I wouldn't say he looks a LOT like Kratos. And that is my opinion, and I think you should respect that, as yours should be too.

You don't gain ranks among Qunari. It's not like the ones that gave birth to the child would remove them, the child is taken by the Talmassran.

Maybe it's an incredibly big taboo to the qunari. Really, it isn't that much of a stretch to think about these things.

It would obviously be extremely difficult to remove them entirely. Maybe they just remove them at the base, but there is still a form of "stump" left behind. That way you could tell the difference between those born truly hornless and those who removed their horns in shame, or for whatever reason.Herr Uhl wrote...

I'm sorry, but I'd hate to see what the women would look like after seeing this.
I doubt Bioware will ever let us see a female Qunari, because their entire fanbase would drop dead in the fashion the bad guys die in Raiders of the Lost Ark in the opening of the Ark scene.
Flemeth's horns are strongly reminiscent of that qunari's horns...and her hair is white there, not grey...just sayin'.
On-Topic: I think it's it's how overly excessive the guy's muscles are. You know, the type of physicue where it looks like you've been on too many steriod? Somebody said the concept art exaggerates and I'm aware of that. I just hope that the women, if we ever see any, still look like women. I don't want them to be like the Krogans from Mass Effect. I don't want them to look manly, jacked, or anything. I think that's what's got me frightened: the fear that Qunari women are just like the dude that we see in the concept art but with cleavage.
Off-Topic: I actually have this strange and possibly unlikely theory that Flemeth may somehow be a Qunari(I think someone said on the forum that Qunari women are not about the same size as a human if I'm correct). Also, Flemeth may have white skin(err, I mean, "light" skin) because, well, maybe she...adapted to a cooler environment? I dunno.
