The Fade on the other hand...
I actualy enjoy the fade.
By the way, the Quanari looks to me like a "Male Desire Demon".

I'm pretty sure Tirigon was being facetious.

in response to David Gaider comments i think the guy was on about continuity as long as there is a reason why explained(and i think they have told us that there is a reason in the game) people will be happy.
On the contrary, my experience tells me that fans are never happy.
Placated, perhaps. And even then only momentarily.
I resent that statementI'm always happy to get new content from a good developer. Even if I might not like the new content, it'll please someone, thus funneling funds to said developer, giving them more resources to make newer content. It's devilishly delicious circle
keyword is new
new content =/= announcement of taking out content

I'm glad the Qunari are getting a more distinctive look. I remember Morrigan calling Sten a noble creature when I first found him in the cage. I thought to myself: "Creature? He's just some dude in a cage."
Same. I was confused the first time i saw the option in conversation to ask Sten "What are you?". I thought he was just a big dude (with a painful-looking hemorrhaging eye condition?).
As for the elves, I found them generally unattractive and was a little amused when the NPCs would talk about how attractive elves were to humans. I had a hard time making an elf I liked the look of in the character creator, and usually elves are my preferred race in high fantasy games. So I'm looking forward to seeing the changes to elves and dwarves. Varric looks good in the concept art so far.

no matter tha cause, this is true
I bet many would be pissed if suddenly in ME the races would be changed too

No but they have basically remade the race but given an in-universe reason to not break continuity. There wasn't any evidence in Origins to support the Qunari would be this way apart from the horned Ogres which may have been to make them look scarier or to charge at you like bulls. Or maybe they did plan this all along, who knows?

The horns are the norm. It's the hornless Qunari who are special.Kurzan wrote...
You know, I actually think that he looks pretty badass, and the supporting statement going with it that horns are not the norm, and marks a Qunari out as special covers the gap.

True but I always got the impression Morrigan regarded humans as creatures aswell, I just put it down to a quirk of character and how she spoke.
And to be honest the amount of people who take "some have horns some do not" as an argument that "covers the gap" astounds me, thats a laughable exscuse not an explanation.
As for the well orgres have horns therefore..... thats almost as bad

Hey now... those statements are a bit condescending. It's more constructive to explain why these reasons aren't valid then to assume that they are just plain ridiculous. To leap to the conlusion that all qunari must now look exactly like Sten is wrong. The Qunari have yet to be fully established in Dragon Age lore. Nobody knows much about the Qunari and writers have enough time to define them as they please. The only true violation of continunity would be if Sten showed up in DA2 with horns.
With that being said I leave you with this conversation from DAO:
Warden: "Tell me about the qunari."
Sten: "No."
Warden: "Well, that wasn't what I expected to hear."
Sten: "Get used to disappointment. People are not
simple. They cannot be defined for easy reference in the manner of: 'the
elves are a lithe, pointy-eared people who excel at poverty.'"

Condescending,,, perhaps fairely accurate however i feel. I do not expect all Qunari to look identical however surely if you are going with a, what in my opinion substatnially more than superficial cosmetic alteration, you need more depth to your reasoning then "well we didnt say they dont have horns" which seems to be the argument they have presented us with.... unless Im missing some posts in this somewhat bulky thread.
And if sten turns up with horns im turning the machine straight off

SoR82: I honestly agree with you that the cosmetic changes with Qunari are un-necessary, but I would like to remark that they are inconsequential. So ne pas need to worry.

The thing is people are saying the Qunari aren't established because we only saw Sten: QUNARI MERCANARIES!!!! And none of them had horns, they all looked like Sten, it is sooooo unlikely that we would only see hornless Qunari, unless the horned ones are all currently isolated in Par Vollen for some reason. But if we see loads of horned Qunari in the Free Marches....
Commander Saladosky, I repeat: Send in the Clones!
