Qunari aren't etstablished, they can do whatever they want with em cause it's their creation, move on

Exactly! People and their petty social dichotomies.

And to be honest the amount of people who take "some have horns some do not" as an argument that "covers the gap" astounds me, thats a laughable exscuse not an explanation.

As for the well orgres have horns therefore..... thats almost as bad.

Polling (not having horns) is a real world genetic variation that occurs in many horned mammals. Cattle, sheep, goats, yaks, buffalo, etc. all come in horned and polled varieties.
It might very well be an excuse but it's a good excuse, not a laughable one.

I'm glad the Qunari are getting a more distinctive look. I remember Morrigan calling Sten a noble creature when I first found him in the cage. I thought to myself: "Creature? He's just some dude in a cage."

Yeah.... this.

Oh dear god no. I really hope the changes they make to elves won't make them look like WoW elves. THAT would suck.
I like the changes with the qunari. Now they don't just look like big humans. They actually look like a different species just like dwarves and to a lesser extent elves.

I personally don't like the horns cause they look a bit like demons and creatures from other games (draenai from WoW). But I like that they're making Qunari and the other races a bit different from humans. All through my first playthrough I thought Sten was just a human from a different country and not another race.

You know, the question has to be asked now; what do female qunari look like?

The answer;

Posted Image

Tell me someone's thought of this.

Or the qunari we've seen is just a male Desire Demon! Posted Image

Clever, though I doubt females will have horns, as is the case for many species, or at least have smaller horns, not nearly as large as those of the desire demon.

I still think Flemeth's white hair, double horns, and clawed gauntlet are signifying that she shapeshifted into a female qunari. I don't know.

After several nights of sleeping on it...I'm okay with it. That concept art looks pretty cool. And like I said before, the Qunari really needed something to differentiate them from just really tall humans.

It would have been nice to see a horned Qunari in DA:O, though. Many people didn't even realize they were a different race. But oh well, that's in the past. Maybe we can see one or two in DA:O DLC/expansions?

They changed... drastically, but aren't they supposed to be darker, like Sten?

So... If I read this right, I think it says the ones without horns are considered special (minus the forcefully removed ones).  So Sten would be special, being on a scouting mission to gather intel on the Blight for the Arashok.  I think awhile back Mary Kirby said something that most of the mercenaries we saw would be Qunari who abandoned their beliefs and being mercnenaries is the only job they could get (I have no idea where this was said though).

So, by process of elimination, the generic run of the mill normal qunari who live in Par Vollen are the ones with horns.

The issue there is that we've seen a good mix of qunari in Wten and various mercs. Now maybe all of them are special because the warrior "caste" don't have horns but then the doughy merchant in the Wending Woods mine from Awakening also has no horns and no sign of them ever having been there. Yes, it is still a small sample size but the difference is hard to explain.

Good grief. So they've basically said screw continuity at this point.

Dear lord. I'm just going to pretend this game never existed. Let's hope someone can mod in a decent sequel for free using the DA1 Engine.

Yes, let us all panic and start throwing around strawmen and subjective usages of objective terms.
