People bring up a flaw they see in Tali and you people attack them ruthlessly defending Tali. Probably not you specificly but I've seen what happens when you diss Tali.

They already dont like Tali then her fans attacking them for not liking her only reinforces that hatred or whatever. You guys can make Pro-Tali threads why cant the na-sayers make Anti-Tali threads? I myself like Tali but she has her flaws.

But in most cases, those "hate threads" are just made to ****** other people off.

Liking a character but hating its fans is cool with me, as long it's not blown out of proportion.

I can admit Tali has flaws, because it's one of the reasons I started to like her to begin with.

Awkwardly adorable and all that.

If you people know the threads are made to ****** Tali fans off, why enter them? This goes both way I guess.

One of these days I might try writing about how I think it's not about Tali and it's not about her fans, it's about her fan thread. But it's likely something to be written when discussing my frustration I've always had in participating in this thread.

Anyway, finishing up whatever statistics I can glean from that demographic poll experiment I'd been doing, as I don't see any more substantial votes pouring in at this point.

I've seen people dislike the whole "Tali is my little sister" discussion, but that's what she is to my Shepard. But this is exactly why the demographic poll was created. You might get up in arms about my opinion of Tali and why I use that as a major factor in not romancing her, but if I tell you my age and gender, suddenly my argument will (probably) be okay.

What's probably the most off-putting about the romance to me (and I'm not saying the romance isn't nice, it's a very sweet romance) is that Tali reminds me of a mentality and stage in my life that I never ever want to return to.

The fan thread?  How's that supposed to work?  Aside from a few broader-minded members (who don't go around causing trouble) we mostly keep to ourselves.  How's it supposed to be the thread's fault if people go around hating that it exists?

I've got no problem with that view.  It's a perfectly reasonable way to feel about her.  It's the "LOL shes boring i killed her!!!eleven!1!" attitude I take exception to.

Come to think of it, I do think I remember a Legion T-shirt (or hoodie).

At any rate, I've made some pretty decent progress on Tali's materials for 3dsmax (which I was talking about yesterday).  Finally, she's starting to stand with some of the other characters.

So, since it's been an extraordinarily long time since I've posted a render here, thought I'd let you guys know how things are coming.







As you can see, she's in the process of "revamping," and it's coming along quite well. The gold metal and the purple cloth are currently the most in need of improvement, but everything else is coming along very nicely.
