I agree on the "annoyed by people portraying her as whiny" part. But not that shotguns are the most badass weapons.

I agree. The idea that Tali is a wilting flower seems to be broadly received, though. That's what makes me uncomfortable, cuz she is a lot stronger than what's in that FF. Maybe...live and let die?

Wouldn't call any characters in that fic twisted or warped. It takes place over a period of years and I actually like some of the developments.

Also, you don't have to read something you don't like. Insulting a good writer just because you don't like their interpretation of a character is not intelligent in my opinion.

I've seen at least one person call Tali whiny because she cried when she found her father's corpse...WHAT!?

But then again, I will have heard every character is whiny once I finally find someone that calls Legion whiny =/

Whiny is when you know that everyone already knows about it, yet you keep b!tching about it.

She doesn't do that.

When she is bringing things up over and over again, it's with a good reason.

What? Why?

Tali is a strong individual. She's done things no one else has. But she doubts herself at times. Particularly during her romance. There is NOTHING wrong with being insecure. There is only something wrong if you are unwilling to overcome it. Tali does that, and more.

Also, lawl, me and a couple others at a forum I visit regularly were busy turning our Sheps into every NPC imaginable, when I did this, someone else quickly came with an edit:

But don't worry, that's impossible in-game, as BioWare seems to have installed some sort of über failsafe on Tali's romance scene, your character ALWAYS reverts back to normal Shepard, no matter what. (Unlike the other romance scenes, as indicated by that one vid of Miranda doing it with a Scion)
