Ah...because I can? I dunno.
Spice things up, I guess.
As long as her belly is around, it's good enough for me.

I say yes. Mark Meer is an incredibally lackluster VA.Goat_Shepard wrote...
What would you guys prefer? Would you give up Shepard's VA for more Tali dialogue?
I'd actually say no.
I'm having a hard time thinking of an example in western games, but in Japanese games you get a lot of things where the story literally does change. Like: if you take this route, X problem will happen, but if you take another route Y will happen and there's no mention of X. The route not taken simply doesn't exist.Goat_Shepard wrote...
Yes, I've thought about it as well. For Bioware's sake, they can't write the romance stories where one person is "fixed" because if you try a different romance or a play a different gender, you'd feel like me; dead inside. You also have to have progression in the romance, where the two come out happier or better people, right? Not an envious writing job, now that I think about it. With Tali, I've never rejected her, but I have a feeling that dead feeling will come back

Welcome to Mass Effect. A dozen squaddies and 2 fully voiced protagonists.
Or have more lengthy convos with a silent Warden. We can't win!
Silent Warden standing still, staring blankly into space would be hilarous in Mass Effect.

Hell to the yes for me. See, I'm used to silent protagonists.Goat_Shepard wrote...

Backlit in the context of that article means the light is hitting a different part of the sensor, not that there is a seperate light shining on the back. Bioluminescence would ruin night vision and let prey see you coming.

Then it loses its point.
Tali having more dialogue, but no dashing commander nearby to respond to her snarkyness?
No thanks...
still gotta work on some of those animations though, the "bioware face" :mellow:has plagued both me1 and 2RiptideX1090 wrote...

Agreed. Shepard's interaction are part of what make Mass Effect great. Sure, the VA isn't ALWAYS perfect, but the point usually gets across. It makes Shepard feel like an actual CHARACTER, and not an avatar.

I'm okay with things the way they are, and I wouldn't suggest they change for ME3 (it'd be pretty strange) but if ME had been done from the start with a silent protag and more dialogue from everyone else (especially dat accent) you would not hear a complaint from me.Goat_Shepard wrote...

Just be happy Shepard doesn't make the face he makes during Miranda's romance.

No matter where you go in terms of LI in ME2, you're still going to find yourself at the Flotilla, listening to "I got better Shepard, I got you."
Maybe it's not a healthy attitude on my part. But it's the one I'm stuck with for whatever reason.
