Why am I not surprised?

Yeah. Thread died. Bad **** happened. We're moving on. Welcome back Jones.

We're trying to keep it on topic.

I'll probably be posting for however long it stays on-topic, then book it.

As for a topic? Which pistol do you think Tali would like more, based on HER preferance?

Between the Predator and the Carnifex?

I would say the Carnifex. Tali specializes in shotguns, I think a magnum-type firearm would fit better because they can match the strong recoil a shotgun has, and it can even compare in terms of power.

Yes, I've argued for this many times. There is already a rumor going about that the Shadow Broker DLC will come with new squadmate dialogue.

...Though I still am unsure why people are so desperate for 3-5 lines of just reactions from any given character.

dude its because after the suicide mission everyone gives you a one-liner and then goes back to acting like nothing happened! we definetly need more dialogue, especially with your LI (tali )

wait, we can't post pictures?

my  guess would no, not unless it is tali related... I have been staying quiet about my feelings don't want to make waves.

So back to  our discussion on the Matrix and how it related to my comment on how the Quarians reached out of fear  towards the Geth.

We know why they reacted teh way they did. The general concensus on AI in the ME universe has always been apocalyptic. It has been generally understood that if any AI ever got loose, uploaded to the extranet, it could essentially take over or shut down every electronic device in the universe. Once you understand this, why the quarians attempted to shut down the geth before they could do something like that becomes more understandable. The geth got scared, defended themselves from shutdown, and then you have the geth-quarian war.

One day I dream the people of the Tali Thread will cast aside their silly notions of page counts and demands for continuous conversation at every minute of the day. Discuss Tali, my friends, and rejoice in the knowledge you have done as much as you can to demonstrate the greatness of her being.

We have had a new wave of newcomers, they have yet to be properly adjusted to a new forum setting. Not that I am implying they are at fault, many of us were part of it.

Well, we have new, somewhat clean slate to try and work off of again. The previous thread was still and imrpovement over our 3.0, hopefully this steady rate of change will become more apparent.

So........ topic?

Agreed. We have our lapses, but we've improved since the earlier threads.

As for a topic? Which pistol do you think Tali would like more, based on HER preferance?

It would  say the  smaller caliber one not the Califax its  must  likely to high of a caliber to handle with out breaking her collar bone.  The  Smaller pistol more rounds faster  rate of fire   most likely  the best pick for her to use with her  knife.

Agreed. Predator is a sissy gun for people like Jacob. Tali requires the weapon of a badass, the kind of gun Clint Eastwood would be seen using.

The Collectors are as much a myth to the quarians are they are any other race. They've only posed the biggest threat to humans, so really, what would a human squadmate think of adding a Collector to the crew?

That I think has been part of the problem with the ME2 plot for some people, the threat was really only to humans. Galactic implications were minimal.

It bugged me that most squadmates had more dialogue if they died on the suicide mission than if they made it...LIs or characters you talked to a lot should have had some extra comments here and there.

Speaking of post Collector base, it still bugs me that you can't see Tali in the end cinematic unless you kill most of your crew:?

I'd be more concerned about how a shell with no organs (IE, a brain,) could come to the conscious decision to work against the reapers.  Especially considering the fact that all collectors seem to have the sarenplants that let Harbinger control any collector at any time. :?

Thats my take as well. You also throw in the fact that the quarians didn't realize the full extent of the geth "corruption". They thought they where just shutting down broken machines to be repaired.

I don't expect much dialog from Tali and Garrus on the Shadow Broker DLC (unless Sroka and Keener recorded their lines in advance and I doubt it)

Just pictured Tali wielding a Smith & Wesson M29 .44 Magnum... Ho, yeah!

Tali: Go ahead, make my day, bosh'tet!

They actually made Clint Eastwood references to Blasto the Hanar specter.

Blasto: Are thou feeling fortunate?

Some criticism I see the developers dismissing, but the demands for more squadmate banter is one I certainly can't imagine them ignoring come ME3.

im sure there are a few unconverted protheans being held captive by reapers, i imagine that will be part of the ending of ME3, the rest of the galaxy defeats the reapers and we discover a few hundred protheans being held prisoner

Just read Stan The Man's ultimatum in Migrant Fleet 1.0 (which was like Tali 5.0 or 6.0, right?) thread...hot damn. Sad to see it closed, but ready to begin anew in Migrant Fleet v2.0. How are things tonight?

Of course not.

She's up in Shepard's cabin with a warm bowl of turian soup and the covers pulled over her. She has a fever to get rid of, after all. <3

Keep it simple. They are synthetic. They are machines. They are capable of adapting. What else does it take before you consider them an equal, if ever?

Because they are machines, they should not be compared to organic life; they are different.

Different does not mean inferior, though. Many people hate them because they are machines, different. The geth will never live or die as we do, they will never fully integrate into society, the geth will never be viewed as people by what we understand.

They have acheived sapience on their own merits, the geth have become a race by evolving in their own way. I do believe that they should still be valued as living things, even if they don't bleed or feel as we do. The geth have celary developed emotions, taking into account Legion's own reactions, and they even have their own philosophies and culture. What else is there needed for them to be judged as an actual race? Will people ever see past their obvious mechanical nature and understand them as they are?

Oh that  I  can understand  , the war was really a case of the trying to  stop a bomb after it goes off.  Ironic considering that the Geth may end being the key the saving the entire galaxy. Saved by the one thing you think will destroy you life's little ironies. Quarians plight  and former slaves may save  all our collective butts. Gotta think the Reapers never took in consideration  a race , making another race that is not dependent on them
