Collectors were protheans 50k years ago.  Since then, they have been experimented on to hell and back, to the point that the only remaining link is a tiny indicator hidden in their DNA.  They aren't even close to the same.

Different does not mean inferior, though. Many people hate them because they are machines, different. The geth will never live or die as we do, they will never fully integrate into society, the geth will never be viewed as people by what we understand.

They have acheived sapience on their own merits, the geth have become a race by evolving in their own way. I do believe that they should still be valued as living things, even if they don't bleed or feel as we do. The geth have celary developed emotions, taking into account Legion's own reactions, and they even have their own philosophies and culture. What else is there needed for them to be judged as an actual race? Will people ever see past their obvious mechanical nature and understand them as they are?

Agreed. The unifying factor in general is self-evidence; what sets AIs such as Geth apart from VIs is their own simple self-protection survival notions (and most importantly, knowing that those notions are their own). While the synthetics should be treated on a different level from organics, that doesn't mean they should be treated in an even remotely inferior manner.

Hopefully Legion or another Geth will elaborate on this more in ME3.

Topic: After the Citadel disaster, security bots were implanted. If i'm not wrong they're VI. If they're VIs, why the Quarians don't use 'em on the Flotilla as a security reinforcement? I know they're poor, but that's a possible option.

If they're dying, they'll have a few last words.

Don't have exact quotes, but Thane's supposed to be a line about the sea. Think that was cut. Jacob talks about not having your time together. That was cut because he can't hold the door unless he's loyal and you can't start his romance until he's loyal. Jack says she knew it was too good to be true because she was too happy with you.

I actually imagine the inside layer of their suit being extremely soft and comfortable (yay space silk )  I see her liking the loose and flowing feeling of the sheets more than the softness personally.

Either way, that pales in comparison to Shep's skin

They don't have the resources. They could be very distrustful of using machines for a job that should be done by an organic. Even if they had security bots on the Alarei, I'm sure the Geth would have had those things hacked in a second.

And every time would almost be like the first time. 

There's obviously a waiting period between, uh, the deal. I wonder how long that is... maybe a week? Month? Perhaps after a while it would only be days before she gets better.
