Shepard woke up. The world felt hazy. Turning his head to look at the clock, he was instantly aware of a weight on his chest. Tali was curled up into a ball, one leg wrapped around his thighs, both arms holding onto him, and her entire front cuddled up to his side, her head resting on him just below the neck. Shepard couldn't help but suppress a drowzy grin. Lifting his head ever so slightly, Shepard peared over Tali's mask, checking the time. Two in the morning, Standard Citadel Time. Resting back against his pillow, Shepard felt Tali stirring in her sleep at the slight movement. She seemed to grip at Shepard even more tightly under the covers. Even in her sleep, her embrace was firm. Nuzzling her helmated head against his chest, Tali muttered in her sleep, the words coming out a slurred mess, heavy with accent and sleep.

"Don't go. Not again."

Shepard felt his gaze go soft. Gently, he wrapped an arm around Tali's shoulders, pulling her as close as possible without waking her. After a moment, her grip on him slackened a bit, her nuzzling even more against his steadily beating heart. Shepard smiled slightly as he rested his chin against the top of her helmet, the soft cloth of her hood smooth and cool to the touch. He wasn't going anywhere.

Shepard slowly drifted off to sleep, dreaming of neither prothean extinctions nor endless falling through space. His dreams were of feeling. A warmth in the heart that had no name, a feeling of complete and utter contentment that neither sight nor sound could adequately describe. It was a fire that was only felt, a weight in his arms that seemed to somehow fullful him. He was no longer empty, but whole.

And the intense anger I was feeling because of my retarded internet connection has faded. . . replaced by d'awwwwws.

Fine then.  Since everyone gets creeped out around here, it's history...  Considering some of the minifics I've seen here, the reaction to it is really surprising.   <_<

*Shrug*

It was definately different.

At least it didn't involve hybrid children...

Ugh... Not this **** again...

I'm going back to writing...

Being a vanguard makes the Colossus fight pretty trivial. Charging it from halfway across the map and then shooting the crap out of it never fails!

It's fun once, but I like the feeling of a good ol' battlefield where the only way to win is to press forth and push the enemy back.

Which one elicited tears?

You think bioware would be a little more lenient especially after the thousands of pages that have been mostly on topic about a single character that only appears in 2 video games. there is only so much to discuss before people just start repeating themselves. and from what ive seen no matter how off topic we got it would always come back to tali for a few hundred pages before wandering again.

I don't have it bookmarked anymore, but the one you wrote 3 days ago around an hour from now. Never had I ever felt such tears from joy and determination.

TIM tries to kidnap Tali. But all of the Cerberus operatives die in some unrelated accident on the way there.

Seriously, I find it impossible to take Cerberus seriously.

I doubt TIM has any interest in invoking the wrath of Shep personally.  I see TIM playing very nice, helping make sure the reapers get defeated, and then hoping that Shep finds someone else to kill besides himself.
