Tough to say, we don't know a lot about how ships are built in ME.  I assume the quarians built in space, since they were adept enough at environmental habitats to build that huge-ass heretic station.

But, considering they themselves think they're only going to get another century out of their ships, I doubt it.  Any construction is probably very small scale.

Until there's nothing left or they get chased out?  From Kar'Danna's talk during the trial, it sounds like they spread thin, too, covering a couple systems at once.

As I recall, he was born just after the war ended.

Indeed, however he was born after they found the Mars ruin. They had irrefutable PROOF that we are not alone.

The heretic station was mentioned in the codex to be built pre-exile. That is when the Geth were pretty much 'workers' and before the first Quarian goes ZOMGWTFITSPINZZ towards the sentient platform.

I doubt, after their exile, they have enough resources to maintain a construction--I am assuming the big Quarian live ship is a pre-exile ship, while the rest were either salvaged and constructed from different ships or were 300 year-old flying tin cans.

They also receive 'gifts' or 'donations' from planets who wishes to 'rid' of the Migrant Fleet, thus adding their stock of ships in their fleet. Resources themselves requires the Quarians to strip-mine planets, meaning excessive use of them for starship is a big no-no.


makes you wonder if they have a Turian Dreadnought or an Asari Carrier as part of their fleet...





In ME3, the Quarians will rule the galaxy. Why? Because after the end of the Reaper war, they'll ASSIMILATE the Reaper-ships into their live-ships and use them to kick the buttocks of the council races

Every few minutes he seems to scribble something and then go back to intense concentration. Curious, Tali crosses over to the desk. Before him she notices a datapad. On it is what appears to be a 9x9 grid filled with numbers.*

Tali: Shepard? Is everything okay? You look upset.

Shepard: Huh? Oh. Hi, Tali. I didn't hear you come in. No, everything's fine. I'm just playing this old Earth game."

*Tali laces her hands behind her back and peers over his shoulder*

Tali: Oh really? What's the game?

Shepard: Sudoku. You're supposed to make every row and column and grid have the numbers one through nine on them, but I keep getting stuck.

Tali: Can I help?

*Shepard shrugs and hands over the pad and pen.*

Shepard: Alright, but it's kinda hard. Took me forever to figure out how to do it right, so don't get upset if you can't-

Tali: Done!

*Tali sets the datapad back down, each number in it's proper place*

Tali: That was fun! Our children play a version of that game. I haven't played since I was seven. Want to do another? :happy:

Shepard: Yeeeeah, how about we just watch a movie or something? <_<

Tali reached down into one of her suit pockets, and produced a small peice of film, Shepard's strong visage splayed across the small scrap of paper. In a foolish outburst of sentimentallity, Tali brought the tiny relic of her
time aboard the SR-1 up to her chest and held it close, closing her eyes and imagining the strong, alien arms of her captain holding her back, feeling his skin against hers, and staring into her eyes without a screen in the way.

Tali smiled under her visor, warm water willing itself down her cheeks. For the first time in a very long time, she felt content with her life again.

She was happy.
