Actually, your minific is the only explanation I have seen that would work/be feasible.  I know if it had been an option in the game to tag the shuttle my shepard would have put two of those suckers on it.

Guddamn right.

Way I figure it, Tali would have had to return to the migrant fleet, then would of had to go to Haestrom. Knowing what we do about FTL, this could have taken a while. Once she got to Haestrom, the tag would've gone to Shepard, likely during Horizon, but as we all know, nothing gets onto the Normandy without TIM knowing. Knowing Shepard is going to go after Tali no matter what he says, he hands Shepard the Dossier, to make it seem like he supports the idea.

I'm content with my explanation.

Well we know a lot of stuff happens offscreen. I see no reason it can't be true.

So...a ship is tagged with a tracking beacon, returns to the flotilla, and no one aboard the 50 000 ships picked up that signal?

I don't know what category that falls into. Deus ex machina?

It's Spectre class Gear. Cerberus can get the best stuff available, and they know what Shepard uses.

It's off until she lands, or that's what I got from Rip's story.

What I understood as well, until it lands on a planet it's silent.

Simple explanation? Shepard has the best tech on the market. Either way. Doesn't really matter.

Okay, here's one. How can Shepard be sure that they are going to use the same ship again? It could might as well stayed in the hangar for a maintenance check, while Tali and her crew took another ship to Haestrom.

Hah. Even if that's the case, it could've taken them days or even weeks to get their next assignment/prepare for it. Someone else might as well taken it if it's in such a great condition. No reason for it to just collect dust (or whatever they have in space) when there are probably other quarians who needs a ship to go out on Pilgrimage or on a mission.
