I don't like Miranda but I don't hate her. Jacob is a good man but working for the wrong people.

I like Jacob as well, and I do think they would be fine after a while.  Jacob gets lumped in with Cerberus, but he doesn't follow the company doctrine at all.  I'm sure he would be right with Tali on decrying their practices.  It would be a rocky relationship at first (as proven by their meeting,) but I don't think either is stubborn or close minded enough to not eventually find common ground.

Not sure. If Tali could be trusting of legion, I'm guessing she could be trusting of a non-combat AI.

The TVTtrope allignment scale really applies here.  Jacob is chaotic good.  He wants to help people, and the lawful nature of the alliance was standing in his way, so he found a way around it.  By joining Cerberus, he is able to help save hundreds of thousands of lives.  Just being a part of Cerberus doesn't mean he's involved with the bad things.  Cerberus operates in cells, and I see no hints that Jacob supports, or would be a part of any of the morally questionable things they do.

Most of the people on the SR2 don't seem like Cerberus types. I think TIM just grabbed a bunch of people who recently left the Alliance and stuck them on there to minimize "incidents"

In my opinion, only 2/3 of Cerberus is racist.
