Udina actually forces you too take Tali.

I liked Udina in the first game. Considering he was a politictian, he actually seemed like he wanted to get **** done. Yeah, he was a dick to you at the end of the game, but I would have even forgiven that, if it wasn't for the fact that he backslid and turned everyone against you after you died.

Agreed, they made Udina much worse than he was in ME1.  It was almost like Bioware figured it wasn't a big enough punishment for not playing ME1 if they didn't make Udina much worse than he was :?

I think we might be getting a bit off track. Back to Tali, anyone?

Yes,  I  think  that  would  be  good.  So  anyone  wonder  why  male  Quarians  look  like  they  have  stronger  upper  body  strength,  and  females  have  more  lower  body  strength,  you  know  how  beefy  Talis  legs.

Probably the same reason we are.  Back in the nomadic era, it was the men that went hunting and the women that raised the children.  The men needed stronger upper bodies to wrestle with game, while the wider hips of the women allowed for larger leg muscles.

Also, Tali's legs arent beefy.  They are supple and well toned Posted Image

Maybe  I  misworded  it,  but  what  I  did  meant  was  that  they  just  seem  stronger.  Plus  I'm  pretty  sure  that  if  you  got  kicked  by  Tali  you'd  go  flying,  not  that  there's  anything  wrong  with  being  kicked  by  TaliPosted Image.

My main Femshep was actually racist until at least the halfway point of the original Mass Effect.

Now she is romancing a turian and is best friends with a quarian.

Yeah. In fact, Tali is pretty much the only squadmate Joker likes at all.
Even he can't resist dat adorable quarian.

Even Udina wasn't a complete douche to her.

The jerk admiral in ME1 has nothing bad to say about Tali when he's ranting about aliens either.  Its pretty clear that no one has a bad thing to say about Tali

Actually I feel they do not mention quarians because they don't think the are worth mentioning.  At least not from a military perspective.

Which... actually makes no sense...

Quarians are supposedly seen as second class... like that Volus and Lia demonstrated...

Humans really have no reason to see quarians as second class unless they're picking up the prejudices of the older alien races. Someone like the C-Sec officer starts to treat quarians as second class because that's how everyone treats quarians on the Citadel.

Quarians have the opportunity for a clean slate with humans, but the longer humans integrate into Citadel culture, that opportunity starts to slip by.

ETA: Wait... that war with the geth probably shut that opportunity down. :/

I completely agree. I think that C-Sec was evidence of this. Probably heard it from his turian cop buddies how much trouble those thieving quarians are, or something...

I disagree with that actually.  It is well known that quarians are very good with technology, and ships in general.  A krogan should be no concern at all from a tech perspective, where a quarian could take 30 seconds and memorize everything for replication.  I'm not sure what the real reason for him not mentioning her is, but not being worth mentioning isn't what I would guess.

It could be possible he just didn't see her down there I guess.

Even with the attack on the Citadel, I feel like the quarians would be on better terms with the humans than with other races.  They haven't had the chance yet to quarrel with humans over depleting resources in a system that they want to colonize, and they just haven't had the negative interactions in general.  The geth attack wouldn't help, but I see the relationship as still very neutral, while its very negative with the others.

She probably found a place to hide in the shadows and was hissing derogatory comments as he displayed his complete lack of knowledge on how the Normandy's systems worked. With Engineer Adams occasionally glancing over to where Tali was hiding to give her a knowing wink.

How do you miss a quarian in an engine room :)  Besides she was always in my sheps party.  But to the military disregard.  They have only heard bad things about them if anything at all from the turian and asari military.  The low opinion from the other militaries would affect the arrogant Admiral and he WAS arrogant.  He would discount them as the beggars he heard them called.  Again, my take on it.

Hmm I come back to play me 2 after DA and I seem to have some type of funky graphics glitch. Any tips? A quick look in the tech forums suggest to down grade the Nvidia drivers....

I'd just restart your computer, unless you recently upgraded hardware.

I've said it before. But Tali could very likely kill/seriously hurt someone if she kicked them as hard she could.

Its a game limitation that Tali never leaves the engine room, she wouldn't always actually be there.  I just don't see the stereotype about all quarians affecting top millitary brass like that.  In fact, I would be surprised if humans hadn't done something like contracted a quarian team to get some cheap help on a tech matter.  People all around the galaxy know of the quarians tech prowess.  Those biased feelings don't matter to people up top looking at the bottom line.  If the quarians can get a job done better, for less, they'll get the chance, and that breeds respect from the people in the know.

The only people who believe that stereotype are people who have no experience for themselves.  While we don't know how much the Alliance has dealt with quarians, I don't see the stereotype in general being spread farther than the general (idiotic,) public.  Even people like Mouse know about quarians tech ability.  People with tech needs would know.

Do you guys smell that? Thats a new thread smell. It smells like pine.

Anyways, random question.

If Tali was teleported somehow by herself into the Dragon Age universe, what do you think would happen?

Oh, you'll have to completely wipe the hard drive, flash the BIOS, and reinstall Windows.

I don't speak for everyone on this, I'm just stating my opinion on th  subject.  And  yes  it  would  be  very  painful,  but  if  you  did  something  to deserve that kick than it's alright with me. So yeah nothing wrong with it, after all I don't think she'd kick you if you didn't do something bad or insulting.  Heh,  I wonder if those legs have enough strengh to send someone across a room?
