I don't get how this is even a debate. Grunt was speaking about biology. I think Bioware was using this to workin a little tidbit about quarian biology.

Its become a larger debate because initially there was a big push to give Tali scales/whatever based on that one line, and that caused quite a bit of reaction.  That theory has been pretty much debunked now, but the semantics and vagueness of the comment still leaves the door open for speculation.

Right. Consider it dropped.

I've said it before. But Tali could very likely kill/seriously hurt someone if she kicked them as hard she could.

I must write, brace yourselves.

Garrus leaned back against the wall, popping a crunchy meat snack into his mouth.  He was watching Shepard and Tali spar again.  Shepard had felt that her hand-to-hand skills needed work.  No better teacher than him - Shepard had been fighting since he was eight.  Even Garrus couldn't take him down.

Shepard swung at Tali's head, and she quickly knocked aside his arm.  "Good," he said.  "Keep your visor protected."  He tried a sock to her stomach, but again, Tali pushed his arm away.  "Good!"  Shepard stepped back.  "Okay, now for counters.  I'm going to do a wild swing.  Typical desperate attack once you've disarmed someone.  They'll leave their abdomen vulnerable, so that's your cue to block and drive your foot in.  All right?"

"Okay."  Tali balled her fists.  "I'm ready, Shepard."

"Good.  Here we go."  Shepard stepped in and swung hard with his right fist.  Tali stopped the attack cold with her forearm, then twisted around and shot a kick into his stomach like a mule.

Shepard let out a painful whoof of noise as he flew back into a nearby bench, toppled over it and landed on his back.

"Shepard!" Garrus shouted, bolting over.  Tali rushed up by his side as he bent down over Shepard, lifting his head.  "Talk to me.  You okay?"

"I'm so sorry!" Tali said, hands against her helmet.  "I should've pulled back.  Quarian legs are much stronger than humans, I forgot how hard we can kick!"

Shepard coughed, body seizing up.  Then he relaxed, looked over at the distressed Tali.  "Good job," he wheezed, flashing a thumbs up.  "Now, uh...get Doctor Chakwas, all right?"

It's awesome when conversations spawn amazing FF's.

You're right, I AM amazing.  B)

In my own opinion, I believe he was talking about standard conditions. Most humans don't wear armor, where every quarians has to wear a suit.

Nevermind. We dropped it.

I think what we're all saying is, we want to see Tali without her suit on.

EDIT: And her visor.

Just to be safe, I think she should just take everything off.

Anyone see the part in district 9 where a prawn basically rips off someones arm by grbbing on to it and kicking them? Yeah I'm fairly sure Tali could do that if she wanted to.  Hmm, better not tick her off, on second thought being kicked by Tali would be frightening as hell, really suck  if some horrible accident caused her to kick Shep in the daddy bags.Posted Image

Not to mention a Quarian is as soft as a rock. Just talk to Grunt, he'll mention it a few times.

Not sure if he's talking about their suits (Which tend to be armored) or their actual skin. But that's purely speculation.

Either way, they're tough.

I'm actually all for this bit of info being a biological part of Quarian phsiology, but got into a debate awhile back with a friend, and the comment  is a bit vague  to really  take it completely as fact. Until Bioware does or doesn't resolve the issue with a codex entry.

Yes.

Though I still think she's sexy as hell even with it on.

How hard it is to stab something isn't always biology. The suits add to the resistance.

If THATS the case, then stabbing a quarian or a turian would be just plain stupid anyway. Look at Garrus. Are you SERIOUSLY going to try stabbing something with that much armor? And I'm sure quarian suits are stab-resistant. If talking about combat, Shepard and Wasea are wearing more armor than Tali is, so we know he isn't talking about them in that capacity, because then SHE'D be the softer one.

I really don't get how people aren't seeing this...

Quarians and turians always wear the armor.  Humans and asari don't.  The turian/quarian armor is their skin.  Its not the same for the others.  That's where the argument comes in.

And to resolve my curiousity as a human.  But  SCIENCE is just as good.

By the way sorry for causing that little spat.Posted Image

A bigger question is how in the hell Grunt and Garrus take off their armor.

With a screwdriver.

More like a pit crew changing tires on a car with fast action pneumatic wrench. Off in four seconds, baby.

ETA: Off-topic. Reapply concept to Tali's suit.

My newest one-shot is finsihed! It is the longest one-shot I have ever written. It is easily 50% longer than my previous longest one-shot.

The story covers Tali's return to the Fleet and the reaction to the geth data.

See, and the girls of the Garrus thread probably would jump at the thought of removing his armor in less than four seconds...

Tali: Why does every one of your people's holidays involve some kind of mythical figure breaking into your home and leaving gifts, Shepard?
