I thought Mass Effect 2 did a pretty good job of NOT oversexing its characters, but then I saw this thread. :/

Her visor color was better in ME1 too.

Imo, everything about her suit was improved in ME2.

Not oversexing it's WHAT now?

Uhhh... have you seen Miranda's outfit? Or Samara's? Or JACK'S?

Tali's outfit is the least revealling of all the female characters, and yet the sexiest of all. She overpowers all the skin with simple awesomeness.

*Goes back to looking at dem tali twins*

I admit to finding ME1 Tali almost more attractive in that respect.

Its more subtle with Tali in ME2, but its definitely there.

As far as changes between the two, I love her suit in ME1, but have no complaints with the changes made.  I think the changes as a whole really improve her appearance.

She seemed like the least oversexed character in either game to me, but for some reason the ME2 changes have resulted in all manner of  "DAT _____" (insert random word). I just thought both the suits look pretty cool, with all the mechanical bits and whatnot.

With the way her suit hugs her body, you don't need to see any skin.

You're kidding me right? Have you seen Miranda's ass? Not to mention Jack's leather straps? (Even though there's not much to be seen there)

Indeed, the whole Dat thing is just a meme that has grown from the initial Dem hips that started a long time ago.  Her physical appearance is hardly the reason that most are here now, its just fun to point out.

That said, there's no doubt that she has an amazing body, and the suit being skin tight doesn't hide that.  If we still had elevators, it would be a lot easier to see

Wait.  How did this thread oversex characters in ME2?

Edit:  Also, please investigate.

Not the thread, just in terms of what everyone else thought. I didn't think Tali was oversexed at all, but clearly she was in some way to generate the sorts of responses found here.

Perhaps instead of "characters," I should have inserted "my favorite characters". Yeah, when I first saw Miranda and Jack, the first thing I thought was "Put on some goddamn clothes..." And some of it is just that certain other games are so much worse about sexual character design that Mass Effect seems more subtle.

Practically everbody's armour hugs their body. There difference is that Tali's body is entracingly alien. She reveals enough of her exotic shape, and yet conceals enough that she doesn't seem overtly sexual. What's not appealing about that?

Really? I love Tali for her personality, first and formost. I dont' really care what she looks like. She could look like Garrus, and I'd still romance her.

But that isn't to say I don't find her drop dead sexy.

Oh, I see.  Well, different strokes for different folks.

It is pretty funny that you have to earn Jack's undying loyalty before she'll put on a shirt.

Pretty much this.

The fact she happens to be the sexiest thing ever birthed from the quarian gene pool is a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

... Kind of a big bonus, but still.

Discuss. I like the overall image and idea of her in a robe like that. Not too fond of the hair, but it still looks pretty good.

EDIT: Fixed

Remember that discussion a while back about "what if the characters' races were all switched around and Garrus was a quarian?"

I recall the upshot being something like "well, guess we'd be fantasizing about a turian, then."

Pretty funny. You expect Tali and Wrex to be the whiniest characters in Mass Effect (both are watching their races slowly dying) and they hardly ever bring it up.
