TIM's a smart guy.  He's not going to turn down the right people for the just just because they're not human.  Heck, he's probably perfectly comfortable using aliens to protect humanity.

only to protect humanity he would never use a turian as his right hand man unless they had somthing that would be benificial to humans

Sure, sure.  They're just tools to him.  But he's not blinded by ideology:  he knows they have their uses.

of course he does to him they are tools I think he thought the same thing about shepard he had points that were beneficial he knew shepard would leave them eventualy

Shep and TIM's relationship is interesting.  Shep obviously wants to stop the reapers like TIM, and save the Terminus colonists from being liquified as well.  Surely TIM doesn't expect Shep to willingly help further his goals, but they kind of work together peripherally (TIM revives him, Shep stops collectors/reapers,) in order to both advance a little.  On the way to the end, both will obviously try and get more from the other.

I was more curious of the human crewmembers, who don't seem to be rabid racists, and are mostly very pleasant toward aliens. Are the all just tools of TIM? In which case, his position is precarious at best.

Small group, hand-picked.  Hell, he probably whipped up a pack of idealists just for Shep.

I also have a feeling that quarians are pretty high on TIM's ****-list. They did screw his plans up pretty bad in Ascension.

It's Tali. She has hips, dem fingers, and dat tummy.

I'm still gonna bone her sideways given the chance.

There are very few things they can throw at us that will scare off Shepard.

Fanged, acid-dripping maw? Kinky.

Razor-sharp, chitinous tail? Also kinky.

TIM can't really worry to much about ideological purity right now. Maybe when the Reapers are gone he can get a little more strict about it.

I agree. He's making promises and hedging bets.  But when the Reapers are gone, I'd expect him to institute some sort of purity test again.

Everyone is a tool to him, that designation means nothing really.  If they will help support his goals, I can see him caring too much about individual ideology.

The human look is why I like that art in particular. Too many others get a little too happy with the exotic alien thing, and it loses the appeal. The Quarians could look very much like humans, with the main differences being that they have three fingers, two toes, a thinner upper body than lower, and their calves sit farther back than any other part of their body (possibly why they need all the supports there).

Shepard would want help with the reapers who the F*** knows what he wants in return

I don't think she could have a tail.  That suits just too snug....

Not to say that I wouldn't be okay with one.  Thinking of it, its kind of weird that not one alien race has a tail...

The ears are at least different, according to ascension.

You know, in Ascension, one of the things TIM considers is that the Flotilla could have some use for humanity. But he's concerned because he just doesn't know enough about what they're up to. He doesn't want to have to ****** them off, but has to in his attempt to retrieve Gillian.

I like the face because it seems to adhere pretty perfectly to the in game placeholder, which just makes it feel that much more accurate to me.  People have different tastes though, seeing the reaction to different concepts over all of these threads has taught me that much.  Will be very interesting to see the reaction when her face is revealed, I expect the large majority to love whatever, but I'm sure there will be one community left complaining (my bets are on the expecting super alien community personally :?)

Which is the single worst ****ing line of descriptive language in the history of human communication.

And just as interestingly, nothing else seems different enough for the Cerberus agent viewing the quarian to comment on.

Not to mention the opposite chirality and the bizarre immune systems.  The quarians are plenty alien for me, regardless of what the face looks like.

I was reading an interview with Karp-whatever author.  He stated something along the lines of: that he had to tred carefully, in his quarian descriptions, so as not to limit their choices...

Not that I can find that interview now... :pinched:

I'd love to see the guidelines the writer was given on what he could reveal about quarians.  It had to be something like: "We have no detail done yet, and we don't want anything ruled out, they have eyes, don't say anything more." <_<
