Convergent evolution allows for humans and quarians to have similar basic anatomical structure. Evolution favors the species that can hold a gun. However, that doesn't mean their biology is as similar as you might think. I was mearly implying that quarians might not even have a hymen.

Why am I even explaining this....?

I should just go back to drawing or something...

This got me to thinking, do you think its possible that the Protheans that survived the reaper attack could have influenced the evolution of organics accross the galaxy? Seems possible since most of the sentient species seem to have similar biological structures.

I don't think it was possible, considering that the Protheans that survived were those few scientists that made the mini relay and altered the keepers so the Reapers couldn't remotely activate the Citadel relay. They probably died of hunger.

The reapers dont destroy ALL life, just life that is, or has the potential to be intelligent. And maybe the Protheans were long-lived creatures 1000+ years, like the Asari or Krogan

I don't want to explain this again...

No. The reason they all look alike, until stated otherwise, is convergent evolution. I remember the devs stating this explicitly. Hands are usefull for using Tools. Two eyes allow for depth perception. Two feet allow you to stand and use your hands at the same time. A mouth with teeth lets you chew food. These are useful anatomical structures. It makes sense that other species evolved to have similar structure to us. That they look as human as us, is debatable, but the theory is sound.

I'd think quarian cloths would be similar to their what they wear on their suits. Hoods, intricate cloth wrappings, belts and straps, utility and beauty all in one. Just my guess.

My sister- in-Law is Indian  I remember her Traditional Indian wedding  dress and that image always comes to mind when  I think of Quarian's dresses

That brings up a very pertinent question.  Given that quarians must, at this point, spend so much of their lives in their suit, would their fashions out of the suit rebel against that? For example - given a place that she could reasonably expect to be out of her suit safely (say a consistently sterilized area she had adapted to), would she have a tendency to wear as little as possible? Would modesty be a factor, considering how form fitting (by necessity) her suit is?

IMO, she would be likely to want to wear as little as possible. Since quarians have no true fashions of their own, at this time, I could see Tali preferring to lounge in their shared cabin just in an oversized shirt. Loose fitting, since freedom of movement would be a key. Bare minimum for decency. Comfort over style.

Thoughts?

No. the theory is NOT universal. Compare Arachnids and Rodents. They have eyes. They have mouths. They have legs, but they are also different, and can do different things. It's not a universal law, but it explains why humans, Drell, Quarians, and Turians are all similar. Their worlds are similar to ours. Elcor evolved on a high gravity world. Hanar, under water. They are exceptions to the rule, and besides, it's merely a theory, and for now, the one that's used in the ME universe.

Elcor's homeworld have huge gravity. Bipedals not suited for that.

Hanar's homeworld in over 90% water. No use for legs, since you don't need to walk.

R-R-R-Repostan!

*Tali tenetively took step after step into the lower reaches of the Engineering Deck, hoping beyond hope Jack wasn't present for Tali to fix a coolant leak her terminal had warned her of. Tali caught sight of the tattooed biotic and took a deep breath before continuing further. Jack turned to stare at her. Tali paid her no mind as she worked on a temporary patch for the overhead pipes.*

Tali: You could have mentioned the leak. Just a little bit of coolant could mean the difference between the core going cri-

Tali: What did you say?

Jack: Don't give me that ****. I know you can here me in that ugly-ass bucket. Who the **** are you?

*Beligerence was something Tali expected from Jack, but this seemed entirely random.*

Jack: Don't play retarded with me. He ain't coming down here every hour to see me.

*Tali finally finished putting the patch in place before calmly walking over to Jack, keeping her stance authoritive like her father had taught her to.*

Tali: Do you have a problem with Shepard and I?

*Jack shrugged.*

Jack: Not really. Better you than the cheerleader.

Tali: Then why the hostility?

*Jack shrugged again, almost dismisively.*

Jack: Dunno. Maybe I just felt like it.

*Tali's silver eyes narrowed behind her visor. She leaned in closer towards Jack.*

Tali: Listen to me you... you bosh'tet! My relationship with Shepard is none of your business. We've made it this far without any problems. I don't know what your problem is and I don't care, so keep it to yourself!

*There was a long silence between the two. A smirk spread across Jack's lips before erupting into full smile.*

Jack: You're not half bad, girl. Maybe that **** might decide to man up to keep up with you.

*Jack shifted position on her cot, laying on her back. Tali stammered for a moment before marching out of the lower deck.*

Tali: So infuriating!

I agree, she would cherish being out of her suit, and would do as little to restrict that feeling as possible. But maybe she would also want to try other outfits simply because they are not her suit.... I think that she may have a crisis in fasion if she were able to come out of her suit on a regualr basis.
