So skin texture only?
The drell are basically men painted green if we don't factor in the biology at all.

It just seems like a double standard to me, because both of those faces are very human.

I'm not surprised you say that because 1. it's subjective and 2. semantics 3. there's very little to "measure" the "humanness" of an alien concept. Ultimately it's based upon the perspective of the person seeing it, and since we are not the same person, it may seem like a double standard to you when it doesn't for me.

Think with me Rune, there is no reason for Bioware not to show it. They did right not to show her face on ME2, so ME3 could be more fantastic! :)

So many disappoints were had.... :crying:
I'm sure I'll love them for it when ME3 is released, but until then... raises fists to the sky

If the asari did not look so human I could see the quarians filling that spot. Since the asari are the pubescent wet dreams of the galaxy I do expect the quarians to look more alien but two full games using the same place holders which includes a number of different eye positions (smiling, angry, sleepy :) ) means at least some of that placeholder is 100% correct.

True, I think that's more or less the root of the whole discussion anyway.  They could put a color swapped human face on Tali and I would still think of the quarians sufficiently alien.  For others, they could be predators and still not be alien enough.  It will be interesting to see the fan reaction at least.

Nothing assures us that they will show her face in ME3.

They have no reason not to. End of the series. Further progress the 'immersion'. Should have shown it when Shepard saw it. <_<

Think: They will do their best do DON'T dissapoint us. They will show her face, or it will be a disaster, right?

Assured?  No.  But the fact that they made it publicly know that they have her face drawn up, the no real reason against a reveal, and the huge role playing break that is currently created leave me very confident.

I disagree, I liked that they did not show it. Though that is speaking in hindsight. Showing the face in ME3 makes the reveal all the more satisfying, I believe. Should they go that route.

Not to be a downer, but why do you guys assume they'll show her face in ME3? If they didn't show Tali's face in ME2, why would they just decide that they will in ME3? Perhaps they could show it if it was some sort of Romance reward you get for romancing her both games or something, but if they purposely hid it on ME2 there's no reason for them to actually show her face.

And I know they'll be the "But everyone wants to see it! All of her fans!" But some things Bioware has to continue to shroud in mystery. After all, if we got to see what Quarians look liked, they wouldn't be so interestly mysterious anymore.

This.

That moment was the right time for me, because as far as I know Tali might not even be a LI in ME3.

The way they treated Liara and the others makes me feel differently than that.  She should have been revealed in ME2 even if briefly.  There was no reason not to other than stupidity.

As I said earlier. I'm sure I'll thank them. But.... raises fists

Why not knock out two birds with one stone? I really don't care how any other quarian looks. I want to see her face.

I honestly did not find Tali's face mysterious nor do I care about that. Mysteriousness is not part of her character.

My last post for a few reasons.  I think they purposely withheld the face in ME2 in order to build suspense in drama in ME3, at the expense of ME2 immersion.  That's my theory at least.  They just have nothing to lose by showing it now.  No one isn't going to buy ME4 because they didn't agree with the face.

LOL
No way they wont make Tali as a LI in ME3. They already went too far with Shepard/Tali relationship on ME2. That means they'll be togheter on ME3. or not

I just think it's the exciting part is imagining yourself and entering what you think she looks like. What if Bioware made her ugly? I know they wouldn't do that, but maybe some people wouldn't want her to have green scaly skin with glow in the dark eyes and 3 ears.

If they do reveal the face, I hope the "fans" don't **** and moan if she doesn't turn out like they thought she would or should, as some people prophesize.

I just don´t want to get utterly disapointed with ME3. I mean I would love to her face, and to romance her in ME3, but not I´m noy taking that for granted.

Then that is their own problem. You're not supposed to romance a person for what they look like. You are supposed to connect with the person themself. THAT is the theme of the romance.

This is my opinion.  The specifics couldn't matter less to me.  Seeing it is the important part.  She has a face, and without seeing it, we will never know the real Tali.

They would have to cook up some weird stuff story wise  for her not to be imo. The fact that she can be exiled from the fleet and thus free to stay with shepard seems to support her continued role on the Normandy, I mean where the heck is she going to go. Even if you did not romance her it seems a fair bet that she would choose to stay with shepard. and IF she did not get exiled this will probably add different moral choices to the game assuming BW puts the right amount of effort into the game.
