This.
That moment was the right time for me, because as far as I know Tali might not even be a LI in ME3.

Someone has been subscribing to Epoch's newsletter. Have hope ye of little faith :)

I just don´t want to get utterly disapointed with ME3. I mean I would love to her face, and to romance her in ME3, but not I´m noy taking that for granted.

I don't think you'll be disappointed ;)

Look at me. Making top posts....

I just think it's the exciting part is imagining yourself and entering what you think she looks like. What if Bioware made her ugly? I know they wouldn't do that, but maybe some people wouldn't want her to have green scaly skin with glow in the dark eyes and 3 ears.

I actually wouldn't mind if they made her ugly. Anyway, I don't think imagining what she looks like is exciting at all. It's actually not at all interesting to me. Mysteriousness never felt like part of Tali's character - in contrast to say TIM.

Then that is their own problem. You're not supposed to romance a person for what they look like. You are supposed to connect with the person themself. THAT is the theme of the romance.

True, but I think we'd still be disappointed if she looked like a cross of a dragon and a hanar with vampire teeth.

Why not knock out two birds with one stone? I really don't care how any other quarian looks. I want to see her face.

This is my opinion.  The specifics couldn't matter less to me.  Seeing it is the important part.  She has a face, and without seeing it, we will never know the real Tali.

That seems a bit superficial.

Agreed, and I would be lying if I didn't say that some of my desire to see the face was to spite the people that imagine their own fake view of perfection

Well, it doesn't rule out that their ears could look like... male genitals. Then we'd all be scarred for life! And then everytime we'd think about Tali we would think about... well, nevermind....

If Bioware had made it clear that Tali could never take off the visor (yeah it doesn't make sense, but retconned,) I would be just fine with it.  I love her for every other reason besides seeing her face.  Once Bioware put the option out there, once they gave her a face, it became a part of her character.  Not seeing it won't change anything, but it upsets me to think about loving an incomplete character forever.  I want everything revealed.  Revealing herself is extremely important to Tali, ignoring that for the player for no good reason would really bother me.

I definitely hope they don't go with super model beautiful. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Tali having a kind of tired or world weary face. She's been through a lot. I noticed Garrus looked a little sickly when we met him in ME2.

If that was the case I think Shepard would pass out as soon as he saw her face, and no way he would kiss it.

They will. Because people are building up impossible expectations.

Personally I think we need to see her face to complete the cycle. We got to know her as a person, and as an LI, it's only natural to follow that up with what she really looks like.

Now ask your self how exactly would an ear shaped like a penis be functional.<_<
and besides that would be ridiculously uncomfortable in such close fitting helmets.

The specifics of Tali's face was never really a part of her character. That's really why I don't care much. We already know who Tali is. I believe she's a complete character, because her face is rather irrevalent.

Revealing herself is extremely important to Tali, ignoring that for the player for no good reason would really bother me.

Hopefully you mean that her showing Shepard her face was an immense show of trust, otherwise I disagree - showing the face in-game isn't important to her character at all.

Hey, have you seen the top of the Salarian's heads? That kind of resembles it.

We'll have to agree to disagree there.  The specifics aren't important, but she does have a face, and that makes it a part of her character to me.

Role playing immersion means a lot to me in these games.  I like to believe that I'm actually Shep, not playing a stand alone 3rd person character.  When the screen cuts away in ridiculous fashion in order for Bioware to increase suspense for ME3 I want to punch a wall, because it ruins the immersion.  I'll feel the same way if they don't reveal it because they don't want to upset fans.  If role playing immersion means nothing to them, it will further lower my opinion of the games and Bioware in general.  That's more personal opinion than anything.  If Tali trusts Shep enough to show her face, than she trusts me enough.
