Ha, yeah if you save the geth and then it turns out you get devastated in that Geth-Quarian war and the Quarians get their **** wrecked....

You poor paragon bastards.

Who says I wouldn't be siding with the geth?

Ooooh I just opened a huuuuuge can of worms....

I think everyone here knows full-well your feelings towards the geth by this point, my friend.  ^_^

There is a difference between making a hard call, and wanting to enslave a bunch of races simply because you think yours is better.

Go crawl back into your hole and die, you Cerberus lapdog, you.

The scanners are picking up on something.

Yeah, hate me for having different life experiences than you that gives me some ability to relate with what the geth went through.

Prazza just didn't listen to Tali. Had she actually commanded him to stick with the plan, there would have been a lot fewer casualties, maybe even none.

Exactly. But she can't command, is the point I'm trying to make here.

Don't forget, it's not just Prazza, he took his whole damn squad to mutany against their commanding officer. Just what exactly would you say is the penalty for mutany under Quarian Law? And they were willing to risk that under Prazza's command.

More than enough evidence that she can't command.

They didn't just disobey their commanding officer. They disobeyed a damn Admiral's daughter!

Though I guess she is a slightly better leader than Zaeed.

So I don't think you can program a decision to stick. Like organics, you cannot force decisions upon the Geth.

So the best way to alter a geth gestalt is to implant an idea while they are powered down...

It makes me wonder exactly how large the geth fleet is. Is it runtimes Legion refers to, or is it actual mobile platforms?

That's what I'm getting at.  Because if the 5% is platforms, then we have to know if "platforms" is everything from geth troopers up to warships.  "Hell's Hive" has up to 10,000 geth ships.  If this is only 5% of all geth ships, then the Flotilla is not actually the largest fleet in the galaxy.

I don't feel like Tali is so much an incompetent leader as she is not an amazing leader - these are insanely difficult and challenging missions.

Eh. She's no Jacob's dad, at least.

I think the 5% refers to runtimes. At least, that's what it sounded like to me.

I destroyed the geth thinking it was paragon... then I got a bunch of renegade points and was like, "Wait, schwa?! rewriting/brainwashing them was the 'good guy' thing to do?"

It's just how I assume [direct control] the geth think of themselves. They don't really put much weight on material resources.

I rank all squadleaders on the Zaeed scale. Tali is like probably in the middle (people survive)

Nah, she is perfect.

She definitely isnt command material; thats for sure, though. Some people, when they tell you to do something, you will do it, even if you know it will kill you. That just isnt a trait Tali posesses. Of course, I would listen to her orders, no matter what, but Prazza is an idiot, to say the least.

Well quarians aren't turians. They're not conditioned to follow all orders, even bad ones.

Besides, we really don't know what kind of call Tali was making before she showed up. Granted, for all we know she could have done everything right and still lost large portions of her team due to bad luck.
Sometimes it all boils down to luck in the end, no matter how hard you prepare.

Besides, Tali is still a great fighter. She's survived near-impossible odds and the several dead geth in the room with her during her loyalty mission suggests that she took them all down single handed. Not a lot of people who could do that.

Tali may not be a leader, but there are few other people I'd want watching my back.

True:

Doctor:  Sir, we need orders.  What are we to do on this planet, with the natural flora having such ill effects?

Jacob's Dad:  Is it not obvious, doctor?  We build ourselves a harem.

Doctor:

Garrus knows where it's at, man. If you take him on that mission, he says, "That sounds a lot like indoctrination." (or words to that effect)

I see no problem with shouldering a responsibility (leading the galaxy) that humanity is best suited for.

Liara puts it best when she remarks that humanity's drive for improvement scares the other races.  They see what we are skilled in, and they fear it.

You know what our people are capable of. The ****'s convinced their people the jews weren't human, and as such, didn't have the same rights as a human did. Could you imagine if people with that mentality started working with people who actually aren't human?

Imagine the holocaust, but with quarians, turians, and asari.

You and I BOTH know nothing good will come of it. Nothing.

Though it makes the number somewhat meaningless...  I mean, can't they just whip up new runtimes as they please?

Maybe the 5% isn't runtimes but storage space or processing capacity.  Both would be a little more fixed than pure data would be.
