Oh no doubt

We wish to know more about your fascination with our "tushes."

Come up to my quarters after hours and I'll explain it to you in detail ;)

Legion: We have reached a consensus. Geth can be traumatized. *shiver*

Sentient life inherently unpredictable.  The total number of breathing organics directly relates to the probability of conflict.

And consider the comment as to how 'unethical' it is to brainwash a species. This decision is ambiguous to say the least. There's nothing exclusively paragon or renegade about either action.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about when I chose to blow 'em up...

curse you grey areas... why can't everything be black and white?

Reapers need some way to sway a group to follow. They decided to alter a crucial algorithm in geth processors.

There really is no direct evidence of this. Seriously, in all the many debates I've had on this, no one has ever presented direct evidence that Sovereign has altered the Geth programming to create the schism. People bring up the math error, which is during Shepard's conversation with Legion as to why the Heretics follow the Reapers. Legion says this is not a math error. But when describing how the Heretic Virus works, he does say it's a math error.

These are two separate situations: the geth schism and the heretic virus. One is described as a genuine difference in opinion, the other is orchestrated a difference in opinion.

I connected the idea as to why Legion was aboard the derelict Reaper in the first place. Legion claimed that he was there to understand the virus the heretics have because there was a connection to the Reapers. I thought that when Sovereign called for them in the first place, the first geth to respond were the ones to become the first heretics. This is their indoctrination, if you will.

But I would like to make this clear that I am speculating.

I think the problem on Freedom's Progress was much less Tali's fault, and more Prazza's fault. He was undermining her authority because of who she was. It's not her fault he decided to mutiny and those others under her command didn't want to follow a civilian.

Totally Prazza's fault. Tali's orders were perfectly reasonable. He was just an egotistical ass.

Legion's loyalty mission would have worked a lot better if it functioned like Mordin's (two paragon and two renegade choices)

I really liked Jacob's loyalty mission more than Jacob.

Actually, I think it may have been my favorite or second favorite. I was like, "Here you go dude, enjoy suicide."

I love how Tali agrees with leaving Ronald to get torn apart by his crew.

Really? I've never tried the middle option. It was always arrest or imposed suicide that I forced on him.

Does the third squadmate actually give an opinion?

I agree Tali is not much of a leader. I would agree with the guy who came up with the Zaeed scale - she's...acceptable...as a leader.

That said, Prazza basically was a complete **** who would've died even if under our orders. And Haelstrom? Crazy dangerous mission.

I feel the death of her squads is also at least partially plot motivated, which I guess fairly integrates into her character.

In any case, she is more of a follower, yeah, but she's not a complete failure as a leader. She could be on the Admiralty Board and it wouldn't be THAT unbelivable.

Tali: I just wanted to say... thank you.
Legion: *headlights turn red, headflaps expand and contract repeatedly* You're welcome, Creator Tali'Zorah.

*Tali turns to leave, walking halfway out the door before turning back around.*

Tali: Come on Legion. Let's go join the rest of the crew.
Legion: Acknowledged.

*The machine and the creator walk out of the cabin, then hail an elevator. As they leave, a familiar blue beachball appears on it's platform, tracking the two.*

EDI: It's good to see them working together.

Dat teamwork ^_^

Tali is more of a follower. It's part of the daddy issue, like Rip sorta said.

Even so, Tali just isn't a leader. It's not in her character. She's a follower. She spent her entire life taking orders from Rael. She never really made desicions of her own until Pilgrimage, and even then, she was following Shepard.

But, again, that's not to underestimate her as a fighter.
She's still one of the best her people have to offer, perhaps better than most species for that matter.

Besides, leadership is a hard thing to have, let along do correctly.
I know for a fact that I'd make a ****ty leader myself, and I ask how many more here could, in all seriousness and truth, say that they could have done better.

Now, I'm not calling anyone out and I'm sorry if I sound like an ass, I'm just trying to say that maybe we're being a little too hard on her. It would be like mocking a chief for not being able to fix a car. It doesn't make the person any worse at what they can do.

Anyone else...I was kind of annoyed by this revelation:

Some of the decisions aren't based off the characters, but pure plot necessity. I know why they did it, but it feels oddly artificial and out of character. I think Tali would've supported saving the council always - when I had Garrus and Tali, she was the "save the humans" one.

That's fine. Not everyone can be a leader, some people are best at their talents when guided.

Yeah, they make a point of telling you that interrupting the data stream awakens the Geth, and yet it's impossible to get past the room without interrupting the data stream.

It's all about who was more renegade and paragon in ME1. I think Tali was center slot.
