I always saw it as Garrus having an emotional attachment to the Council due to the Turian seat, but then again, he himself says he is a lousy Turian.

Saying she's a good leader but only of other engineers is kinda pointless. There aren't that many teams of engineers poised to alter the face of the galaxy that need leading.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to Voyage of the Paus?

It's been way too long since I last played. I'm trying to restore my knowledge with a nother playthrough.Pacifien wrote...
Legion went to the derelict Reaper because somehow the Geth learned that 1) the Heretics were writing a virus andthey were storing this virus on a quantum storage device that Sovereign provided. I actually think once the Heretics joined with Sovereign, the Reaper did massive modification of their code (all the more reason not to reintegrate them into the Geth), and had possibly considered the virus project to convert all the Geth. For whatever reason*cough*retcon*cough*, he dumped that idea and went with Saren's Conduit plan.
Anyway, Legion does say that Sovereign signaled the Geth with an offer. The Heretics accepted.
It's interesting that you note the reintegration in this context. If the geth were to accept the heretics after a rewrite, then the geth would understand what happened and how they lost control of themselves. It could possibly make trying to control them all the more difficult.

For what it's worth, I agree. She seems more kind-hearted than vengeful.PKchu wrote...
I can see why she could say that. But...I dunno, her personality doesn't...
Eh. You make a good point. I think overall though she would hold the whole "dying as military for civilians and leaders, etc." over personal disputes.
However, Azint has the right of things. Barring the odd glitch (I've seen a vid of Tali arguing against herself about saving the Council) there is a paragon/renegade scale that the game consults to figure out who gives what opinion.

That makes me wonder what would have happened if you could have had Wrex along in ME2 during Tali's loyalty mission.

Tali: *Through Tears* ...W-What?
Wrex: *Mimics placing his pistol to his head and pulling the trigger*
Tali: I-I... how could you?
Wrex: Need to be careful. Rule Two: Double Tap

And seeing how Liara is going around rearanging people's organs with her powers... that speaks volumes for the others...

I'm pretty sure things like the Saren shooting scene are decided at least partially on what order you selected your squad members.
This is usually the case. I've even had Wrex urge me to save the council once.

Not sure about who shoots Saren, but who comments on saving/not saving the Council/Rachni does go on a fixed paragon/renegade scale. Though Kaidan/Ashley's place in that scale can change depending on your conversations with them.Kikaimegami wrote...

Definitely, Azint.
One could argue Anderson is a great leader but only in particular spheres - he sucks as a politician.
But wasn't that kinda the point? Shepard chose him precisely because he wasn't a politician, and so could approach council issues from a different perspective.
You can argue that Tali isn't a good leader, but to me, it says more about those following her. That they weren't able to respect her just because she was too nice or awkward, regardless of the value of her instructions.
What.
That makes sense in a way. If they couldn't respect her because they believe her authority comes from birhtright rather than from merit. Still, hasn't Tali already proved herself on her own talents?

Kaidan actually goes before Liara on that scale. There was something I found quite amusing about watching the asari archeologist putting a bullet through Saren's brain. Girl was cold even back then, should have been no surprise how she ended up two years later.
