I wonder if you can see through the bubbles, you know their faces or they keep it hidden after all seeing other quarians is very importen to quarians.

Maybe it's tinted, just like their masks.

Don't think so...there is an electronic remote stop capability, but not in the vehicle.

The problem is, we don't have a good model of cognition.  What, exactly, is intelligence?  Is a dog or cat intelligent?  I think anyone who has associated with one would say so.  Where is that line (a subtle line, perhaps?) that marks the beginnings of true AI?  I certainly don't know.

I don't think play games so much, about social interaction I guess many have friends, they talk a lot about pilgramage making up adventures stuff like that. education after what is needed on the fleet.

I would think so.  There have been experiments with chimps, and there is a strong need for touch.  If a human child were deprived of touch, I think it's likely there would be some big mental problems.

Which begs the question - how does the fleet deal with the marginally insane?  There aren't enough resources to support them, Veetor notwithstanding.

The Morning War is also probably drilled into their skulls from a young age.

I don't think Veetor is insane (unless you give him to Cerberus like a monster) he just has the worst possible phobia that a quarian can have.

Fear of crowds.

Actually I think we have a pretty good idea of what intelligence is as interms of intilectual ability, what we can not realy measure or even determine exactly how it comes about, outside of God, is conciousness or self awareness if you will.

Good point.  I tend to be pro-Cerberus, both in play throughs and in real life; however, I have never turned Veetor over to them.

By the way...on the touch issue:

Looks like it's important.  I wonder if the bubbles have entry ports so the mothers can give the child some touch and other nurturing?

among other things, Parzza did give us a explaintion what Veetor had experinced before he went on pilgramage.

I don't think he is insane, he just have a mind that needs stabilaty and a lot of pratice of dealing with crowds.

@TTTX: Does no one read the codex? Most quarians don't hate the geth. It's mentioned that nearly all of them recognize that it was their own fault they lost their homeworld.

The Collector attack left him traumatized, but that doesn't make him insane either.

If he was truly insane, he would be a danger to everyone around him, but I think he can't even hurt a fly unless there are a few mechs around.

I'm sorry hate was not the right word, fear is more right.

but still I think most quarians don't like geth even if they don't hate them most of them don't like them.

The geth are probably used as their version of the Boogey Man.

How many times do you think Tali was told to behave or the geth would get her?

I suppose.

Though, it should be noted that most of the quarians on the Rayya are pretty apathetic towards Legion. Aside from Korris and the captain. (What was his name, again?)

Yes, but where does self-awareness begin?  Here's an interesting Wired article on the subject

Oh lawl, just did Samara's loyalty mission, took Tali too, after Samara explained that I was "the bait" and needed to go in unarmed, Tali suddenly started walking against Samara, pushing her aside (in the cut-scene) 'twas absolutely hilarious. "NO! I am not letting you hurt my Shepard!", kinda like this fic by the fission based religious leader.
Couldn't take a pic or make a video, as Fraps wasn't on, and using PrintScreen in any game these days results in a black screen when pasting it in Paint or any other editing software.

I guess self-awareness begins when they're thinking outside the box.

Most of the quarians that interact with Legion are soldiers and scientists. The average one would probably freak out.

Keelah se'lai Talimancers!

Here's an on-topic discussion about the upcoming Shadow Broker DLC which ties heavily with some of Tali's initial reasons for being here. After all she was to sell her McGuffin device to Fist before Shepard turned up and saved her (though I half suspect she'd of been fine without help).

I ask if you think Tali asked to see the Shadow Broker in person because of ignorance to who he is or because she's done deals before given the Shadow Broker isn't exactly an unknown figure...maybe to Quarians I'm not sure. What makes me more curious is if they are more in contact with this guy now than ever.

Thoughts?

at least a 1000 times when you think about who her father is. He probaly ordered Tali's mother to tell her.
