for the record i think there is a human in the passenger seat for safety reasons to brake if necessary
but things like that have no chance of becoming self aware, as they are not true artifical intelligence, its more of an automaton

Actually I think we have a pretty good idea of what intelligence is as interms of intilectual ability, what we can not realy measure or even determine exactly how it comes about, outside of God, is conciousness or self awareness if you will.Skadhi1 wrote...

Don't think so...there is an electronic remote stop capability, but not in the vehicle.

The problem is, we don't have a good model of cognition. What, exactly, is intelligence? Is a dog or cat intelligent? I think anyone who has associated with one would say so. Where is that line (a subtle line, perhaps?) that marks the beginnings of true AI? I certainly don't know.

I don't think Veetor is insane (unless you give him to Cerberus like a monster) he just has the worst possible phobia that a quarian can have.
Fear of crowds.
indeed, they make them hate the geth from an early age well most of them hate the geth from driving them from their homeworld.mrsph wrote...
The Morning War is also probably drilled into their skulls from a young age.
among other things, Parzza did give us a explaintion what Veetor had experinced before he went on pilgramage.mrsph wrote...

I don't think he is insane, he just have a mind that needs stabilaty and a lot of pratice of dealing with crowds.
I'm sorry hate was not the right word, fear is more right.Mukora wrote...
@TTTX: Does no one read the codex? Most quarians don't hate the geth. It's mentioned that nearly all of them recognize that it was their own fault they lost their homeworld.

AI's become intelligent when they can be self-aware.

I suppose.
Though, it should be noted that most of the quarians on the Rayya are pretty apathetic towards Legion. Aside from Korris and the captain. (What was his name, again?)

Yes, but where does self-awareness begin? Here's an interesting Wired article on the subject

at least a 1000 times when you think about who her father is. He probaly ordered Tali's mother to tell her.mrsph wrote...
The geth are probably used as their version of the Boogey Man.
How many times do you think Tali was told to behave or the geth would get her?
