I really liked that in Jacob's romance he'd ask Shepard how she's doing. It's fantastic. His romance was the only one where that happened and Shepard can actually say something other than "I'm okay," so they should extend that to the other romances - and conversations with squad mates in general. It'd be a great way to personify your Shepard, as well as adding to the relationships.
