Hey guys. I'm back. I think we need a few new faces to be thron into the mix but Bioware also needs to bring back fan favourites like Tali, Thane, Legion, Mordin, Wrex and Garrus but they still need a few new faces to spice things up a bit.

Someone who has little to no background story in order to not slow down the pace of the rest of the game, because whe know almost all the other characters inside and out? (Literally in some cases)

No thanks.

No offense guys, but could we maybe... stay on topic?

I guess this isn't really Tali related, but it partially is. I was talking to Grunt, and he said something like "Humans, Asari, Salarians, all too soft. Quarians, not so much." I kind of wondered what he meant by that...physically, or mentally, because Quarians don't seem "tough and rough" or anything.

He's talking about physically. We don't know if he's saying that Quarians are tougher in general, or tougher including the suit.

He was talking about how hard it is to jam a knife through each species spine.  He is either factoring in the quarians' suits, since you'll never see a quarian without one, or they have stronger bone density than humans/asari.

It would actually cost Bioware more to design and cast new characters.

That's what's awesome about Urz. He's cheap to add in.

Wrex, Kaiden, Ashley, and Liara would beg to differ.

I won't deny that the ME2 team has the possibility of being major characters, but it's questionable whether they'll get to be unique squadmates or not. There is the design option of having them back if they survived your ME2 game, or having a mechanical duplicate of them in place if they died. (By "mechanical duplicate," I mean a new character with the exact same combat stats.) There are definitely ways of circumventing the problem without needing to resort to retcons, but I don't know if BioWare will invest the time, money, and effort into bringing back fan-favorites solely for the sake of appeasing various factions of fans.

Admittedly, anything is possible in the video game world after Hans Zimmer composed Modern Warfare 2's OST. Regardless, it will almost certainly be a year or more until news begins to come in, so it's just speculation until the time comes.

Its already been pointed out that Wrex is his own unique case.  Bioware had a different krogan in mind for ME2, and they had another place for Wrex all along as leader of the krogan.  The others you mention are all coming back for ME3 (considering they were written out of 2 in order to preserve them for 3.)

They are also the fail safe for if you kill off your team in two.  You are forced to have two people survive ME2 besides Shep, and that makes 4 squad mates for ME3, and you can play through all of ME1 with 4 squad mates.  Duplicates aren't necessary.

Its as much a thing of having no reason to get rid of them as anything else.  It seems pretty obvious that we won't get character specific missions this time around, so who cares what characters are on the Normandy?  Obviously the ones that your already paying for, and will automatically get fans buying are the ones to use.  There isn't a single good reason to not bring back the old team.  The only support for the idea is the notion that its somehow easier to write them all out, rather than bring them back, which is just plain untrue.

I agreed, I don't want to spend 75% of ME3 gathering a Squad like in ME2.

The hardcore fans of the Virmire Survivors are already throwing a fit about their favorites being neglected.

Now imagine that with the Garrus and Tali fans.

Eh? i could have sworn Kasumi was at least thirty.

Kasumi is 25 years old.

Edit: I was beaten to it.

From her dialogue, she does sound older/wiser, like she's lived a lot more.

life can have unexpertet turns make you grow up faster.

I'd be disappointed if they don't bring back all of the love interests in general, but I wouldn't demonize Bioware as some of the Kaidan/Ashley/Liara fans do.

Hmm. I wonder what kind of material or whatever their suits are made of. It honestly doesn't look much better than some cloth and leather and a few metal pieces here and there.

I think he's taling about the fact that they wear a suit. It is possible that he is talking about tough skin and bones but we have a description of Quarians by Drew Karpyshyn in ME Ascension saying they look like humans and asari.

Surely they are a lot more complex than we can imagine.  The quarians depend on them for everything.  Seems likely that they are in layers, with the outside being something very resistant to tearing/punctures.  Not sure on the specifics, since there's no guarantee that the materials would even exist in our world.

That's my stance as well.  I'm not one for raging on forums, I'd rather just spend my money and time elsewhere.

Haven't seen anything official about that, but it's a pretty likely assumption since there's that photo of your first LI in deck 1.

If they're going to be that cheap, they can at least have the courtesy to tell me that in advance, so I won't waste my money.

Kaidan/Ashley: **** you Shepard, you're with Cerbuses.

Liara: I'm sorry, but  I must avenge my friend.
Shepard: But I'm your lover... and the Collectors killed me. Why didn't you take revenge against them?

they have very human like skelingtons, if you remember the side mission where you resuced a stranded quarian you can see the skelingtons of the decased quarians who didn't make it,
