Her face is only purple in Mass Effect to make her visor that color, since you aren't supposed to be able to go through her visor and see her whole placeholder anyway.

yep.

The suit and visor both being purple do associate the color with Tali in my mind.  Its really as simple as that.  No one is saying its proof or anything.

Yeah, the visor color is located somewhere different from the rest of the suit that apparently can't be changed.  Makes the colossus reskin a lot less awesome when it still has a purple visor

I think it's because it would look strange if her visor is normaly red, and in the mask shot during the romance scene it's purple. 

Or maybe they just don't want people messing around with it.

I think Tali's outfit is the only outfit that looks soft but yet strong at the same time and as Donnelly says "It's snug in all the right places."
