Hallz no. I fall into that category, really; the romance seemed a bit forced and unnecessary, but the characterization, the race, the backstory, the VA, that all makes for a good endearing character in my opinion.

That's my whole point, pretty much everyone here think like that as well.  She isn't super popular because of the hips.  That's a misconception.  I find her physically attractive, and I'm not going to hide that, but her character and personality are what I love.

It's funny, for all the hate the fanbase gets (and from that, Tali), the Tali thread does not actually insult any fans of characters. Ever. I don't really care about people not liking the character, but I find it sad when people apparently are so offended that people like something different from them that they start attacking the actual fans.

Referring to other boards on this forum. The general impression elsewhere seems to be that when this thread actually is on-topic, which isn't often, it's about completely oversexing the character and fanboy drooling.

In actuality, it's on-topic fairly often, and only occasionally turns to the above.

On the subject of Volus/Quarians, you'd think there would be more business deals between the two. They both are completely reliant on environmental suits, but one is militaristic while the other is economic. A Volus/Quarian alliance would go a long way.

The volus chose their race to latch onto to best advance their own race, and that was the turians.  The turians offer a lot more to the volus than the quarians ever could.

they chose them for protection since the Volus are not adapt to combat.

ME1 also states that the volus are making a push to join the council.  They want to rise to more galactic power, and fleet or not, the turians are the best option.

the Council likes to have new members *being saracastik*
 
they only gives a council seat to those who save their sorry asses.

This sums it up pretty well, this is a very vitriolic place.  Its why I'm drawn to this thread really, I'd rather discuss things I like.

Most of the hate on this forum is because they don't like her fans, though.

Even when handed this kind of a game, everyone has something to complain about. >_>

It's the same way with what is now ranked as the highest-rated game of all time, Super Mario Galaxy 2. That game displaced the previous 10-year holder of that position, but still the game's boards are loaded with incessant whining about random things. And it's only a couple months old.

seems rather riticules concider most of us never leave the theard and bother others.

Well yeah, but if gaining galactic clout is your goal, allying with the quarians is the absolute last thing you would do.

Really, if all the fans cared about was the "hips," then we would be Miranda fans, not Tali fans. No offense to Miranda or her fans themselves, but Miranda actually has a face and her suit is very...form fitting.
