It's why anybody hates anything that's popular, whether it's good or bad. Twilight is the latest from my own observation, you don't have to watch the movie to hate it for some reason. Harry Potter got a lot of hate and that's probably a better example.

The Quarians aren't ready for a Council seat. Their empire is destroyed. All they have are ships at this point. They deserve a represenative on the Citadel, but they need to grow first before getting a seat.

the Council needs have all races as a member.

They could at least have a different number of representatives based on the population of the races involved. Right now they sort of have the "three estates" thing going, except there are a bunch of others that don't even get a vote.

Definitely need a more balanced leadership structure, I'm not a fan of the elite looking out for the status quo, and the good of the elite/people that play the game.

This actually happened.  Trolls were constant in the earlier threads, and the people here had no idea how to react, and so the trolls kept coming back.  Eventually, the people here wised up, started ignoring them, and now, it takes more skilled trolls to get a reaction, which obviously significantly narrows the field

True, a lot of it appears to be generic-class trolling. Typically easy to deal with, so long as somebody doesn't go and start feeding them--Trolls hit their worst when there's that one guy who just won't stop arguing with them.

Well, as far as being "too popular" sometimes if you're not a fan of certain characters, you get frustrated and feel like you can't get away from them. Your reaction is stronger than it would be because you feel like the character is shoved down your throat.



That said, I try not to troll.

Also, it shouldn't matter if Tali wins a lot of polls. Polls by definition are designed to collect people's opinions. If you don't like them, then deal with it.

Not trying to derail anything, but when a vampire movie involves teenagers in dumb, uncertain love with each other, I just think it ruins the movie. A vampire flick should be about that. Goddamn vampires, and not two of the worst and most unconvincing actors I've ever seen.

Oh yeah, no doubt if Miranda was as as popular and her ass was shoved down my throat online as well as in-game, I'd be very bitter. Sometimes, all it takes is a poll that shows 85% favor Tali, and that in itself is considered "shoving Tali down our throats". Can't win.

Well, from a purely objective POV, I did see Mass Effect 2 as "Tali' Zorah 2, The Tali Tali Tali"



Then again, she was the real reason I bought the game, so maybe it was just me...

Initially, she was probably just really happy.  With the amount of doubt that she had, she certainly convinced herself that it was impossible.  So hearing that he felt the same way probably just put a giant smile on her face the rest of the day, as she daydreamed through her work.

Unfortunately, in the time after that, she seems to go back into a downturn of doubt until the next conversation, where she questions whether the relationship is selfish or whether or not she deserves Shep

Indeed, there's righteous hate via popularity, and then there's unrighteous hate via popularity. Sometimes something is just that good, but if there's a bandwagon, people will get on it.

I'm trying to think of a good example, but all I can think of is "Tali" lol
