Personally i see it as unlikely because Legion makes it clear that the heritics were basically "reprogrammed into the split in the first place.mrsph wrote...
I always wondered.
Could a new geth schism happen if the two races tried to consider peace with each other?

Phil, if you're still here, is it possible to rename the thread?
The last thread was renamed at like page 5k, so I imagine so.

On another topic: if you could add a third type of weapon to Tali's proficiencies, which would it be?

It doesn't have to be a schism related to some geth wanting to join the Reapers again. If it's a schism based on anything other than the entire Reaper situation, it's simply geth coming to two separate conclusions and agreeing to go their separate ways.RiptideX1090 wrote...

More geth join the Reapers, and they have a full blown civil war...

If the quarians concentrated on peace, there could be a possibility of negotiating the return of their homeworld. However, the geth aren't anything if not overly cautious. I could see another schism occurring among them as some consider the return of Rannoch to the creators and others thinking that the chance of betrayal is too much a risk to allow quarians back behind the Perseus Veil.
With the building of a Dyson Sphere, the geth are likely vulnerable until its completion. Considering the scale of a Dyson Sphere, who knows what millennium that thing will be completed. Time isn't such a concern for a computer program.
Anyway, I think the reason it's difficult for the Migrant Fleet to find a new world is
1) The ever-present need to obtain resources simply to keep the Fleet functioning.
2) The need to find a dextro-amino based world.
3) Until the Ascension novel, it would appear they never made considerable effort solely for the discovery of a new world. Probably because there is a significant faction of quarians who favor returning to Rannoch and wouldn't want to see the focus diverted.
In other threads, I've mentioned that I personally don't have a connection to a place as my home. It's easy for me to interpret love for a place as being more symbolic than anything else. Even Tali realizes in the first game that the Migrant Fleet is effectively a home to the quarians. It's where you make it.
I'm not entirely sure Tali focuses her dream of returning to the homeworld as high on her list of priorities. She's willing to risk exile, which means she risks settling wherever the Migrant Fleet settles, be it a colony or the homeworld. Everyone has their dreams. Not everyone gets to see such dreams fulfilled. And people have multiple dreams. For a Tali that romances Shepard, leaving the dream of the homeworld behind probably isn't so much a sting as the joy of staying with her loved one.nitefyre410 wrote...
You would not be alone I would agree with you at least they should give up on taking it by force. If the homeworld can be retaken peaceful they should go for it. Because i am not going to throw Tali life away on a pipe dream.

I'd add a rocket launcher. Seems to be the thing to do these days. Non-seeker, though. Otherwise it'd be too easy for her.
And it puts her at mid-long range combat as well.

Knife or submachine gun. I don't think Tali would shie away from a submachine gun.
It's the future, so anything is possible, but I think the building of a Dyson Sphere would take longer than the 600 years Tali suggests it would take to acclimate to a colony world.Spornicus wrote...
I always thought it'd be cool, with the Quarian's skill with technology and all, if they helped the Geth build their Dyson Sphere, not only to gain trust but to hasten the geth leaving Rannoch as well.

Assault Rifles.
Effective at any range.
Though, Really, the Carnifex with Cryo is all you need. Load Tali up with that, and she's a monster.

I can vouch for this. Too bad cryo only kicks in after shields/barriers/armor are down.

Squad Cryo Ammo has been incredibly effective for me even while playing on Insanity. I'll use it every time. Since the Carnifex is particularly effective on Vorcha, though, I like a good incendiary on it.mikethor007 wrote...

I was trying to think of a good argument about the assault rifle, but then I thought of this:
So...yeah. AR is Tali's new toy.
