Anarchy doesn't work, it always ends up being replaced by something even worse than what you started out with. A power vacuum never lasts, someone always comes along and puts themselves in charge.

I'm not looking for anarchy, I'm looking for the complete destruction of the Council system. The "worse than what you started out" bit would be the Dark Age I was referring to.

Quite a bit more . . . elaborate. All I can say is; thank god I finished that story before you guys started or it wouldn't have even gotten a fraction of the attention that it did.

More like I'm trying to convince someone who believes in saving the Destiny Ascension or rewriting the heretics so absolutely that my kung fu is superior. Or something like that.

Ah, my favorite argument is the anti-metagame one.  Saving the Destiny Ascension, you're basically betting every life in the galaxy that an unknown enemy will be defeatable without help from all of your forces.  Surprisingly, a lot of people are fine with wagering that for such a small gain though
