I know most of us tolerate the council but am I really the only one here who loves the council?
. . .Probably.

My time on the forum will be complete the day I convince someone not to save the Destiny Ascension or rewrite the geth with the power of my persuasive debate skills.
I suspect I will never leave the forums. <_<
More like I'm trying to convince someone who believes in saving the Destiny Ascension or rewriting the heretics so absolutely that my kung fu is superior. Or something like that.
Right here man, you will never convince me to destroy the big beautiful beauracracy that is the council.

I'm not looking for anarchy, I'm looking for the complete destruction of the Council system. The "worse than what you started out" bit would be the Dark Age I was referring to.michaelrsa wrote...
Anarchy doesn't work, it always ends up being replaced by something even worse than what you started out with. A power vacuum never lasts, someone always comes along and puts themselves in charge.

Sorry... it's just... Claudia Black... *drools*
Until you realize her scalpel is scraping against your bones.
No anasthesia.
She wants to know how much pain something like Shepard can endure.

But he can keep his damn mouth shut while doing it. Miranda too. I don't recall asking for their opinions, and I get annoyed that they seem to feel the need to constantly give it. More irritating that they're usually BAD opinions, and they occasionally feel the need to be be hostile to the other people on your ship. Like Jacob and Thane, and Tali depending on how you interpret it.
Thane was inexcusable.
Jacob was a merc who is syaing mercs suck...... I wished Thane would have slaped Jacob for that.
na Thane's answer was perfect ... "I'm nothing but a weapon, does one blame the weapon or the wielder."

Why? The council has been running like clockwork for thousands of years and offers all species within its sphere of influence to discuss matters and attempt to further their own species interests peacefully.
It is a beautiful thing.

Ah, my favorite argument is the anti-metagame one. Saving the Destiny Ascension, you're basically betting every life in the galaxy that an unknown enemy will be defeatable without help from all of your forces. Surprisingly, a lot of people are fine with wagering that for such a small gain though
