I'd also suggest Strange Days.
A. because it's awesome.
B. it's got one of those "can't you see who really loves you" stories.

For me it's FFIV. I replay that at least once a year.cannedcream wrote...
You know, there are very few 'story' games that I've replayed as much as ME2. I think the only one I've played more is EarthBound.
It's the best addiction I've ever had.

So, in light of the recent thread lock, do people feel I should risk storytime tonight?

Good choice. For obvious reasons, I think she would also really appreciate Spirited Away.cannedcream wrote...
As it was you that said it, I do. I really do.
Right, so let's add RLR to Tali Movie Night.
That's the one. I always wondered way a computer lab would need sinks. LOL.Azint wrote...
There were sinks, and cabinets. There was palladium next to the sink.
They wash their minerals, I suppose.
Well, it is Mass Effect related, and Miss Zorah is the central character.NuclearBuddha wrote...

Yes. Code Geass is great.RedTracer7 wrote...
I have never been able to watch much of any Anime, except Code Geass (which I seriously recommend to anyone who enjoys... anything.)
I think Tali actually states something to this effect in ME1 iirc. That it is easier to have ships growing vegetables and plants (the liveships), than caring for herd animals.Azint wrote...
This is why I strongly believe they practice cultivation. The plaza we visit on the Rayya has plenty of foliage around, it seems plausible that the quarians would even raise crops in their own controlled environments. Sterilizing a plant is not as difficult as sterilizing any sort of meat, so why not grow food?
Neither have I. ~_^Note: I have not read Ascension.

I'd suggest the "xenophile" gene serves a purpose in promoting diversity of the human gene pool. Unfortunately it seems it can go haywire when confronted by fictional sexay.SpaceBuscuit wrote...
Hell, I've stared at her in elevators since ME1, when she wasn't even an LI. What is it about bowlegged aliens with back-curved calves and avian hands that does it for me? I don't know. Maybe some of us just have a xenophile gene that hasn't been activated due to lack of contact with aliens.

Indeed. Tali. Anyone have any comments about the mini-fic posted a few pages back? It got spawned by the food and clothing discussions a ways back.

That one's not ringing a bell. I'll have to add it to my mental list if films I need to see.

Tali:
Shepard: Tali? You okay?
Tali: I'm confused and frightened.
Shepard: Yeah, that's anime.

This really makes me wonder what Tali would think of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
A really, really trippy ending? Check.
The oddest pacing in a movie? Check.
A one-eyed machine attempting to murder organics? Check.
I am measured in worth by the weight in my taste in films?NuclearBuddha wrote...

I used to watch some anime, but now. . . I dunno if I grew out of it or if the stuff they show on TV now is just not good or what.
Really, I stopped watching about the same time the Encore Action stopped having their Ani-Monday nights.
That film was adequete, at best. It had it's moments, but the film was littered with so much filler it was aggravating.RedTracer7 wrote...

Why Spirited Away? Princess Mononoke is a better movie in my opinion.
