It actually works both ways, I was set under adding the punctuation marks after the quotation marks, then I learned it can de done the other way as well. I simply adopted this method.

But in this particular instance, to include the comma inside the quotation marks would be to say that Liv included them in his original post.  Which he didn't.

Of course not, I'm using the quote in the context to explain to him how to use it properly. To adjust it to match the way it was written would often conflict with the context of the correction, so overriding is better than adding both marks or not adding it at all. The original speaker should know well enough what the purpose of the added or altered punctuation is for, and I have faith that Jones passed intermediate school.

Know what I find funny?

Jacob isthe one person who it doesnt' really matter if you take him to his Loyalty mission or not. You could have done it without him and it wouldn't have changed anything, not even his character. You can at least change the other characters, like Miranda or Jack, and otherse are needed for that mission, like Legion or Tali.

But Jacob... is just so... dull in that regard. I only enjoy his mission because it has Tali being a bit Renegade if you take the middle option at the end.

This is how it would play out if Zaeed replaced Tali as Chief Engineer. Zaeed would be leaning aginst some bulk head, Shepard rushes in and demands to know why half the ship lost power. Zaeed would tell Shepard an intresting story about how Zaeed was on a mission way back. How he and a couple buddies infiltrated an Asari Commando Transport to take out a target, and how during the firefight the ship some how lost power thus turning the entire interior of the ship weightless due to loss of gravity. Naturally Zaeed was the only one who got off the ship alive. Shepard would then reinstate Tali as Chief Engineer and apologizes for making such a stupid mistake of replacing her with Zaeed.

Well, technically, Tali didn't allow it.  Shepard allowed it.

And why not?  Tali has the perfect poker face.
