Sorry, guys. Guess you have to wait until the PC gets it too. Shouldn't take long now.

That sucks....:crying:

I'm reading all the backlog for this particular thread...At page 88 right now, started at 2 am. Man...is it basically an oscillation of the same Tali's hot, dem legs, fanfic whoring, pilgrimage/biology/society discussion for all the subsequent pages?

I'm still going to read it all, I'm just curious.

Oh yeah. Name's Mobius, and I'm a Talimancer.

Depends. Some times there's gems in the rough buried in there. I'm mostly night crew so I miis most of the day crew activity. for the most part. Also yeah the smae discussions pop up every now and again it seems.

Hehe, well, you're pretty much right, add to that the constant influx of newcomers and people who don't know "Hello thread!" or "Topic?" aren't appropriate replies and you've got yourself one hell of a lot of clutter to wade through.

We do, however, have plenty of interesting discussions when the right people are on, and if you like fanfics or fanart, this is a great way to find out if there's anything new/interesting.

But right now, it's the DEM HIPZ/DAT ASS period, just roll with it.

Can do. I'll throw in my own character origin story and subsequent interest in Tali when I'm not delightfully intoxicated.

I do have to wonder, though. If those suits are skintight, then wouldn't the bulkhead seals on the inside be a little redundant? Skintight or no, the material should maintain a seal by itself. Although if it's like UA then I can see it going wonky after a suit tear. Probably just answered my own question.

Indeed.

It was out on the marketplace, but not on the Cerberus Network. Kind of goes against the point of even having CerbN to begin with.

Yep, ain't on the PC DLC page yet, though I'm not sure if I'm even willing to pay for this stuff.
Damned consoletards just accepting this kind of stuff, we used to have expansion packs that offered proper content and value. Now we get minor snippets that were probably just cut from the original game and could easily be bested by modders if BioWare had simply allowed us mod tools or proper compatibility with the UDK. <_<

BioWare should take a look at Valve, they're pushing out "updates" with more content than what passes for DLC around here.

Let's see here...
----

Mattock Heavy Rifle
Shepard,

Miranda has been working with EDI on crunching battle telemetry numbers, and EDI had an interesting thought. She suggested we may be overlooking older, proven technologies in an effort to provide you with the state of art. Normally I wouldn't give much credence to the idea, but when an AI criticizes you for loving high-tech, it gives one pause to consider.

With that in mind, I delivered a few heavy rifles, the Mattocks, to the Normandy. They've been modified for thermal clips, but the rest of the rifle should be the old, reliable gun that colonist militias have been using for decades. Good hunting.

Geth Plasma Shotgun
Shepard,

A cell of ours acquired an interesting weapon from the geth. It's much like a shotgun, but it's higher tech -- something to do with the firing superconductors that create plasma on impact. Its ammunition is more specialized than those of our shotguns, but it's not hard to make or modify. I've arranged delivery of a few of these weapons to the Normandy.

Phalanx Heavy Pistol
Shepard,

EDI informed me that Jacob recently acquired some MS Phalanx pistols from some friends who shall remain unnamed. I appreciate this resourcefulness, but had he come to me, I would have made the arrangements. We've discussed this, and to show there are no hard feelings. I've had a few more complimentary Phalanxes, replacement parts for their laser sights, and their repair manuals delivered to the Normandy. Use them how you will.
---
That's all I have at the moment.

For now I'll just stick to lurking. I'm an infiltrator. It's what I do.

Edit: Probably why Tali loves my mainShep...just a quiet, solemn badass with a heart of gold and steady aim...And tech skills.

Probably.

They should have better control over it. Or let the PC users have some mod tools. But then, EA wouldn't earn as much money as they do this way.

In the end, it's all about the $.

I agree with you there, just look at what modders did with Oblivion and FO3 and even DA.

Yep. John (real name) Shepard Earthborn war hero, Paragon with renegade tendancies. Affinity for nutshots and predatory alien women.

(How do I snip the pic? I'm a little lost...)

I like how they're showing a little more about what Miri and Jacob are doing via those e-mails. Very clever and cheap way to fill out the characters.

*Brofist* Yaaay, my first brofist. So happy.

Seemed to fit my style. Same with my love of assertive women who know their way around an engine/computer...

I'll go back to lurking now.

To snip pics goto BBcode when you quote, and delete the line with the pic addy. most usually type soemthign like "*pic description snip*" in it's place.

They did the same with the quarians a while back, when they shipped supplies to a nearby planet to help some people who were injured in a explosion or something like that.

It's a double edged sword for me.

I like it, but at the same time it feels, as you said, cheap.

Also, I can see colonist Sheps liking the Mattock for RP reasons. As for the pistol and shotgun, I'll have to wait until after action reports start coming in to see if I want to replace the Evi/Carni loadout on Tali. I'm encouraged by the description of the geth shotgun as "long range" though.

Feh, my mainShep's an Infiltrator too, Paragade, though he actually has a proper background, Ruthless Colonist, y'all. (Come on, best ghosts of the past mission out there, 'I remember me' :crying:)
Additionally, he's more of a SPAH (sappin' yer sentry), rather than a regular Infiltrator, disguising as Husks, Collector Drones, female quarians, male quarians, hanar, mercenaries, TIM, geth, his own squadmates and more.

Well, I meant "cheap" as "inexpensive."  I mean, any fleshing out of characters we get is essentially just dressed-up text (be it spoken or acted out or whatever).  So I'm certainly not going to turn up my nose at straight-up text.

It's a cool image, the idea of Miranda going over stats with EDI or Jacob conducting covert weapons deals on the side.
