Somehow I'm not sure he would comply simply because it's the Salarian government.

I know everyone likes Mordin, but he's still capable of commiting war crimes.  I think if duty called, he'd set his personal feelings aside.

We should mail stuff to Bioware, demanding Tali being in the next ME game.

Sort of like nuts with Jericho.

...we could mail shotguns.

Well the whole thing is that I'm not sure Mordin would feel it's his duty simply because he's requested to by his government.

I would say something to distance myself from you guys, but then I remembered BW is Canadian. Homeland Security probably doesn't care as much.

crimes.  I think if duty called, he'd set his personal feelings aside.

Don't like him, but his presence is mandatory.

Let's give Tali a helping hand.

If you want to **** over all of the Geth, he's going to act against you for sure. He's not going to let Shepard just destroy the Geth.

By that logic, Tali can "betray" him too, for encouraging the admirals to send the fleet to a certain death.

Anyway, my thought experiment wasn't focussing so much on Shep's actions, but on the characters of the squadmates. Sure, Shep could blow a gasket and need to be taken down or something. I was setting him aside and wondering what outside or internal influence could make a squaddie flip.

Tali actually advocates against war with the Geth.

Hmm.

Paragon hug or no Paragon hug...Ah, screw it. I'll save before it and do both. And for the first time I actually went with the Renegade path when Tali talked about the house on the homeworld. I think it's almost as bad as the Paragon. Tali's still getting pretty upset.

One thing I've noticed about the paragon/renegade options on the Alarei is that the paragon tells it like it is, and the renegade tells Tali what she wants to hear.

Paragon:  Give it up, home is where the heart is.
Renegade:  We'll retake Rannoch.

or later, when you find Rael's body:

Paragon:  He knew you'd come.
Renegade:  He might have said something loving if the geth hadn't killed him.

I go with paragon.

Also, LOL at the illusive headbutt.

thats why I like the Paragon  option better, its the  truth she needed to hear   whether she wanted to or  not.

My  Shepherd loves his   Tali but he is not going to coddle her  simply because there is something that she does not want to accept.

I fully intend on reclaiming the homeworld. If the option isn't ingame I will be very, very unhappy.

I think Garrus would be the least likely to betray Shepard. He has virtually no outstanding tie to any faction. He's denounced the Council/Citadel and C-Sec. Doesn't think he's a very good Turian and doesn't mind being so. His team on Omega is already dead. He's basically just Shepard's pal - and he greatly admires him or her. He'd give Shepard the benefit of the doubt in situations where other squad mates wouldn't or would be less likely to. It'd take a lot for him to turn on Shepard.

This.

There is absolutely no reason Tali cannot have her home.

Anything short of reclamation is unnaceptable.

Disagree. I will be happy enough that we can steer the Quarians towards peace - and therefore, the reclamation of the homeworld.

Of course.

Peace is preferable.

However, I would gladly kill every single geth beyond the Veil if it came down to that.

Or enslave them.

I don't very much value their existance.

On this I absolutely agree.  Unlike even (un-exiled) Tali he has nobody else in the whole screwed-up galaxy.

Not to mention that Garrus doesn't mind either paragon or renegade Shep.

Story of game: your love interest always betrays you due to indoctrination. Rage thus incoming.
