Anyone who thinks the Geth are entirely to blame and retaking the homeworld through violence is the only possible outcome needs to remember this.

Most people don't really think that in this thread. Most are for peace.

The quarians are to blame for losing their world.

The geth are responsible for them going extinct.

And I am FULLY in support of peace. Just saying. If for some reason it's impossible in my game, I'm wiping out the geth if necessary.

Agreed; if it must come to war, I'd side with the organics. The problem is that war would be both tragic and catastrophic with peace so close--The Geth "Cannot solve for peace alone," but would be willing to come back "if new data was received that indicated coexistance is possible or desireable for creators." Really, it's about the Quarians understanding that the Geth are now capable of thinking independantly, but without resorting to violence.

Sadly that is not going to happen, when you live off hating something for that long you can't just give up and that is where the problem lies.  Quarains  have lived off a hating the Geth for so long that they don't know any other way.

I some how wish the allaince would get involved  let them live on earth untill ronnoch can be taken back 17 million isnt that much and the alliance could make it one of the goals to make peace with the geth or unleash all unholy vengeance upon the synthetics!

And believe me. I blame the Council FULLY. If there isn't a damn good ending for saving them, I'm going back, killing them, giving Xen the Geth, and the quarians can rule the damn galaxy with humanity and the Krogan.

That would be a beautiful ending... a brand new Council with the races who were subjugated rising up and taking their place.

I'd love that ending.

They won't see that one coming...

And they can only blame themselves for it. If they weren't so ignorant and actually trust their Spectres (They were so goddamn quick to pick Saren's side but not mine, what the hell?) we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with.

And give some quarians support. They're of a slowly dying race after all, no matter how you paint it.

Nowhere near enough room on Earth.  It already has 11 billion inhabitants.  On top of that, Earth's biosphere is based on levo-chiral amino acids.  Where will the Quarians get their food?

If the Geth really wanted the  Quarians extinct they would have finished the Job  300 years ago, they did not.   Do you  think that even if   Geth came and offered peace the Quarians would listen i doubt  that. they would likely shot them face on sight. No Your Ire should be directed towards the Council  there is no moral, political, or legal justification to let them wonder like that for 300 years - 15 generations. Its just plan apathy, cruelty and politics. Its not that no one can't help them its that no wants to help them and now  the Quarians are getting to throw away 17 millions lives  all thats left for no reason.

That would actually make a decent replacement for the current Council. Krogan replace Turians for military strength, humans replace Asari for diplomacy, and Quarians replace Salarians for the economic/scientific branch.

Krogan can't even live on their own planet without destroying it with a nuclear ice age, Quarians can't even live on their own planet without getting exiled from their creation, and Humans can't even figure out their religions. Doesn't sound too good.

And the only thing the turians are good for is to bomb every problem away. No offense, Garrus.

The salarians? They're starting/ending wars without telling anyone about it. If they see a race as a threat, they'll just cripple them so badly without warning. Tactical geniuses, sure, but at what cost?

I have to ask, why does everyone assume that the quarians hate the geth?  They have obvious reasons to distrust and dislike them, as they fought them recently, and they are obstructing their return to Rannoch, but I never got any indication at all the geth were anything more than a reclamation Macguffin, it could be anything in their way to Rannoch.  If the quarians get Rannoch back, the geth are nothing but a negative chapter in history for them.

The analogy I have is this; someone calls you a name like a jerk, you punch them in the face, break their nose, and break your hand really badly.  For the next few months, you need surgery, and the hand is constantly bothering you whevener you reach for something or whatever.  You don't blame the person you punched for messing up your hand though, sure they called you a jerk, but you didn't have to hit him.  You just want to get the hand fixed up, and move on with your life.  I look at the quarians in the same way, they blame themselves for the Morning War, and they just want to move on.  What happens to the geth is meaningless.

The solution is to not let yourself appear as a threat warranting military action against with both races then.  Yaknow, 'diplomacy'?

The Salarians are pretty Sun Tzu-esque in their approach to warfare.

No, but they've caused the extinction of one race and are slowly killing the other, and they're rewarded for it? As if it something to be proud of.

Its the nature of a people, to look for things to demonize and hate its easier to that rather than looking at oneself  for blame.    In most of the idle chatter you get the feeling that Quarians hold a deep seated hatred for  towards the Geth, even  Tali because a different character around when you mention the Geth.

The krogans aren't going extinct. Their population has only been steadied. Its a much better alternative to a massive war against the krogans.

Seeing as most people here didn't hand over evidence in Tali trail, the most likely scenario is all the Quarian decide war with Geth is the best option for survival, but if you were to hand over the evidence you would meet diiferent factions of Quarian fleets who left the Flotilla

This is all speculation ofcourse.

War  is going to happen either way, not handing over the evidence  was a favor to a friend who did not want to see her fathers name dragged through the mud.   The trail was nothing more than a power struggle between Korris and Daro'Xen.  Korris  support is  slowly being    weathered away by Daro'Xen,  Korris is the last voice of peace, Han'Gerrel wants a war, Daro'Xen has machinations of the Galactic domination and Shala Ra'an could give a vocha's ass about the fleet.
