Korris wouldn't breathe if it would affect his political backing negatively.  If he has a racist opinion, then he isn't the originator

"Foolish insect."  he said   Shepherd voice not his own hissed with contempt.   Still Tali  walked forward silver grey narrowed, lips pursed  and jaw set. Even as her body screamed in protest her immune system trying to assimilate the foreign  environment.    She was now standing  on  a few inches from him  those burning yellow coals staring back in to her.   They stood the eyes locked  for what seem like hours.  "What do possible hope to achieve  child?"  

"Shepherd fight  it, we need you, I need you. we can  beat this thing. Fight  please. "   looking back in shock the creature felt its host fight back.  Shepherds will clawing at his own trying to regain control.  So It was her this little slip of the Quarian  was the source of his  strength.     Tali watched the possessed Shepherd drew his hand back mouth twisted in hate filled a sneer. She watching as it rushed forward, she felt his fingers  tips first tear through  her suit   into the left side of her chest.  The monster inside of Shepherd stopping feeling  Shepherds will now come to life.    

"Shepherd...stop this"  she whispered a small trickle of blood running down the corner of her mouth "Don't wish to be born on the same day but to die on the same  day."

"Foolishness"  he hissed pushing hand  further.  

"I have watched you suffer from that shadows for so long. Carrying burdens that  now one man should carry.  Always tending to us before yourself . Its all that I can ever do is watch, from a distance from behind a mask. Praying that maybe I can  ease  your burden, your suffering.  When walked through door on Haelstorm I thought the girl  that always watched you was gone.  Yet there I was again watching you armor broken, plasma burns and bullets holes."  Tali wrapped her hands on around his neck pushing her self up on balls of her feet. "So now I will save you." She said resting her fore on his eyes.   She could see him in there past those burning yellow  eyes Shepherd her  Shepherd was fighting to get out.   Her last moments of awareness was of her lips touching his as her  vision faded to black.   

The burning yellow faded from his eyes  replaced by sapphire blue, pulling the form in his arms close him fresh tears running down his cheeks. Shepherd couldn't even hear Garrus screaming their names  as  he fell to ground with her in his arms.  

"Oh  God,  I'm sorry"

Shepherd  sat in the med bay  head hung low, not willing to meet anyone gazes. It had been hours and Mordin and Chakwas had given no word.  The hiss of the door opening  made  lift he head and met  Mordins gaze.  The   Salarian doctor stood silently a for moments before smiling. 

"Tali' Zorah will pull through.  Strong l heart  she has most inspiring.  Can she her now rest comfortable think she is dreaming." Shepherd rushed into the room and found her sleeping, the slow  beep of the heart monitor  the sound in the room.  Placing his hand on the glass, she looked a sleeping princess black hair framing her face. 

"I always told you had a special heart." He whispered softly.  

"Tali' Zorah does a special heart. Bigger than most quarians and heart is on the right side and not  left."

That news anchor should feel lucky you being  nice, I like to work with simply things like a razor blade, rubbing alcohol  and the underside of said reports upper lip.
