I don't work for Valve.  I don't want/can't wear more than one hat at a time.

Hmm...paying for DLC seems a little odd after playing Team Fortress 2, even if it does make sense.

Of course, that game has now been updated over 119 times and doubled its original cache size (ALL free content) so it's definitely the exception rather than the rule.. I hope it works out for Valve, it's a great company. They just updated an old Source mod called Alien Swarm with an up-to-date presentation, and made it completely free. Gave it a try a week ago, it's pretty good.

I had a screenshot to contribute to the discussion on Quarian food (showing the supposed cafeteria on the Alarei), but I can't connect to my Photobucket account. >_>

Alright, she doesn't say that, but just picture her saying it in that rich accent.

SOMEONE GET THAT GIRL AN OREO! NOW!

Funny. I actually have some oreos and a glass of milk at this moment...

Oreos and milk? People actually do that?

Kind of true.  I do wish that they actually implemented them into the game's economy (broken as it is).  Just make them available from some stores, or something...

Cerberus is like the aunt who someone gets it into her head that you REALLY like sweaters, so every holiday it's the exact same damn thing over and over again. :pinched:

TIM: Strength for Cerberus is strength for humanity!

Shepard: Joker, lose this channel.

TIM:Wait! Before you go, I had some new gear sent to the Normandy for you. I hope you make good use out of them.

I found it funny how the timing of you downloading the DLC would correlate to events happening in-game.

I found this and it made me think of Tali.
So many nights trying to hide it
But now I stay awake just pleading for more
To think this heart was divided
I'm losing sleep cause I can't ignore...

Feeling your touch all around
Peacefully hearing the sound
Of silence around us, so glad we found us this way

Find me, here in your arms
Now I'm wondering where you've always been
Blindly, I came to you
Knowing you'd breathe new life from within

Can't get enough of you

So much truth packed into this one sentence.

"If you fall,
I will catch you,
I'll be waiting,
Time after time.
If you're lost,
You can look and you will find me,
Time after time."

She Was A Fast Machine
She Kept Her Motor Clean
She Was The Best Damn Woman I Had Ever Seen
She Had The Sightless Eyes
Telling Me No Lies
Knockin' Me Out With Those Quarian Thighs
Taking More Than Her Share
Had Me Fighting For Air
She Told Me To Come But I Was Already There

Woa-oh!

I need your touch without them gloves

Woa oh!

And I want, and I need, and I love

Talimance!

And I want, and I need, and I love

Talimance!"

Too much like dark chocolate for me

And dark chocolate is the devil's food.

Absolutely. But I was thinking more in terms of how Bioware's audience might feel. Since Tali had become an attractive character to many fans, allowing them to believe that she is 16 might have left them feeling awkward. Stating her age as 24 in ME2 allays any negative connotations. It may not be rational in the context of alien biology, but it could still have been in the minds of the developers.

Definitely agreed there.  Just because the argument is stupid doesn't mean its going to stop people from using it.  Therefore the obvious choice is to make any potential LI at least 18.  Seems to be a constant in gaming.  I don't think the inverse of the asari would fly to well for this reason.  the 12 year old girl with a life span of 24 would be old enough by their standards, but will probably be met with some derision.

That said, I don't think Bioware ever planned for Tali to be that young.  22 is a perfectly believable age for ME1.  The pilgrimage is a very dangerous undertaking, and not leaving on them until that age seems like the right move.

Agreed.  It also makes sense for a pilgrimage to start in the early twenties in order for a quarian to get used to their envirosuit.  Depending on when you believe they get it, (I tend to think 12-16 years old) you would want to make sure they are capable of living inside it without anyones help.  And that they can repair it if need be.

I don't think the Pilgrimage is literally a rite for adulthood, I thought ot it as a mandatory boost for social status.
