I was referring to I was saying in general I dare some one to call him pathetic  about  his feelings for her...  I fear for the poor fool I true  do, that man stares down Krogan battlemasters and does not blink, he is a scary paragon

There's nothing pathetic about Shepard's feelings for Tali. She's irresistable, and if I were a video game hero, I'd Quarian-pounce her before she ever got the chance.

As for real-life me, I'm in need of sleep and Tali-filled dreams, so I'm checking out for the night.

The geth are sapient, though. Would you brainwash another group of humans?

If I was at war with that group of humans, yes, I would.

I don't believe in going to war for anything less than survival, but when you do go, I believe in scortched earth, killing men, women, children, EVERYTHING. War is a HORRIBLE thing, and by that very virtue, it should be used as a last resort. That you're using it should show just how desperate you are. The quarians are in this position.

If I can broker a peace, I will. If the geth don't cooperate, I'll have Xen enslave them. If the Quarians don't want to cooperate, I'll have Tali take over the board and force them to. I WILL end this conflict, one way or another.

Again, not about you, exactly.  I know you like Xen because you see your snark in her.

Considering her very short screentime, and her given amounts of snark, Xen is a mouthy one.

Oh, I like her.

Right, forgot about the sigs, I'm leaving those (now with a correct explanation that won't result in every new forum poster having quotation marks in their sig.)  Can add the pounce or something at the end, though I find that the pictures/gifs clutter up the OP a lot more than anything else.

Well, it is a Pilgrimage, even by definition. Their gift is meant to reflect what the quarian in question considered valuable and even benificial. Obvious gifts, such as ship parts and even full-vessels are obvious choices, but I do think the more lateral thinkers, like Tali, are the ones that shine the most. Geth data, geth data that the quarians had not been able to decrypt in centuries is the sort of things that shows a quarians worth.

Indeed. I did hope that doing the side mission for Tali in ME1 and giving her the Geth data would actually have more of an effect than a couple lines on Freedom's Progress, but I guess they can't give imported Shepards too much of an advantage.

...Actually they could, but a bunch of people would complain about it.

Also; do we know you? Your registration date and mature enough attitude hint towards this.

Started ME2 about a month ago, couldn't stop playing it, lurked on the forums for a while, then decided to register. Still pretty new here by forum standards, but I hope to stick around if the thread can remain on-topic and actually keep something good on the table to discuss.

Haven't been this "Drawn in" to a game in a long time. I was glad to see that it had an active fanbase to discuss things with, since most game communities seem more interested in bragging about how badass they are for completing X achievement or whatever rather than talking about the aesthetics and mechanics of the game.

Sometimes there are no 'right' or 'good' answers. Nice to see that Rip favors peace, as do I, but like Rip I see this as a war that NEEDS to stop and somehow Shepard is going to make it stop, even if the steps to do so are less than moral.

The Quarians  can cross me if they want to I will make the Morning Star war look like  look like story time with Barney.   The same goes for the Geth as well  cross me and Joker will be using there heads as  head lights on the  Normandy.   T.I.M and the Council got the message they better as well...

I'm open to suggestions once its done, I'm not going to just skip right to the part where I become an OP elitist, though atm the OP is a cluttered mess that no one reads and hangs my computer up when I edit a post.  It needs trimmed down some

Nodding with renewed resolve, I produced the Book of Ilos from my coat where it had been spared the worst of the swamp’s damp. I had not let it leave my presence almost since receiving it, a fact for which I was now grateful. Flipping through its ciphered pages in the dim light of my lantern, I searched madly for a clue that might help to avert the fast approaching and doom-laden fate of humanity. And there, blessedly, after indulging in a miz between frenzied research and the wildest speculation, the barest suggestion of way out began to form. I remembered the terrible vigil kept by my dream-self in that time-spanning nightmare that plagued me as I translated the eon-cloaked text, and how important it seemed to that unfortunate stargazer of unfathomably ancient times that a record be made. Weighing upon my mind as well was the mindless arrogance of that blasphemous apparition that had spoken to me in the mire of madness, and how the presence of rational thought demanded that extinction unutterable be visited upon the face of the planet. Yes, perhaps something could be done. I looked to my comrades, seeing each lost in their own thoughts, save Miss Zorah who, though I cannot be certain, I felt gazed upon me from behind her veil. They could not be told of this course of action. The remote possibility of success depended upon its complete secrecy and the ignorance of all involved.

There still was left research to do, so I busied myself with feverish intensity, turning the pages of the book and muttering over the damnably difficult hieroglyphs that littered the pages. As I committed the formulae and incantations to mind, the Cossack took his turn at the oars, and I saw we were drawing ever nearer to that abhorrent black obelisk. The steam yacht ahead of us had already arrived, and the trembling lights seemed to suggest that its passengers were disembarking and beginning to climb the face of the frightful stone. Taking care to avoid their immediate notice as we ourselves made the approach, the Cossack rowed around the base of the Citadel, finding that it was ringed with jagged rocks that while slimy with sea-life, afforded a landing spot of sorts. Thus, we as well disembarked, and again Inspector Vakarian and -- Urdnot looked to their weapons, for at any moment it seemed that the followers of M. Arterius might discover us. It was then that we decided to split our forces: the Cossack and Miss William would assault the steam yacht directly, hopefully cutting off reinforcement of the party which even now seemed to be intent on ascending to the very apex of that fantastic spire. Meanwhile, the detective inspector, Miss Zorah and myself would scale that abysmal height ourselves to attempt to put an end to the hellish cycle of the Elder Machines.

Ascent proved a nigh-impossible task, for though the Citadel was wound about with crevices approximating stairs, these routes had been constructed by insane chance. At times there were only inches for our feet, and even less to cling to as a hand-hold. The haunted night winds plucked at damp clothes, threatening to dislodge our tenuous grasp and send us shrieking down to the loathsomely phosphor-lit ocean below or to dash us to carrion on the serrated rocks. More than once I slipped and would have tumbled to my death but for the intervention of the ever-stalwart inspector. I was also plagued with doubt as to the fate of my companions both present and absent. Fear tore at me when I imagined a terrible fate for Miss Williams, and I wished I had bid her remain with the boat, though that course of action held little more safety. So, too, did terror fill me that Miss Zorah might come to some nameless end here or even up above if we survived to confront that would-be celebrant of the end of sane existence for mankind. I realized, though, that there was perhaps no safer place for her given the consequences of failure, and that indeed there was no place I would rather she be than here to provide such support as she might be able. We had begun this journey together, and it seemed we were fated to end it the same, no matter what ineffable cost might be exacted upon us. And a cost would come, though at the time, I could not have understood the extremity of that dreadful price.

I thought you'd be in love with this. Imagining Tali as your personal pet quarian. Sounds like something you'd be into.

I guess you'd rather kill her though. I can't believe I'm saying I'm grateful she's dead in your games.

Red. Why are you even in this thread? Seriously?

Large audience to advertise to, of course.

I didn't want her to die.  I made a mistake, assigning her as a Fire Team Leader.  Thought her experience on Freedom's Progress would help her, despite Prazza's foolishness.  I was wrong.  I also was being careful.  Assigned her because of Legion's presence.  If she failed, I had a second tech specialist.

But you must remember, that my playthough was BEFORE I ran a romance run with her.  Then... now... I don't think I could make such practical, albiet harsh, choices.

Tali is changing me...

((@Buddha: Are you suggesting that my presence here is dictated solely by the fact that this is the largest fanbase, and thus holds the largest advertising potential?  Because that would be... crazy...:bandit:))

I do believe in reinforcing the fact that newcomers should have played ME1 before, I even believe that default FailShep is too restrained. If they don't further this in ME3, then that will be a big disappointment.

Excuse my short-sightedness, mature internet forum posters are so hard to come by, that I assume the worst.

And yes, ME2 actually got me into forum posting on a video game board again. I've discussed this game quite a lot here, explaining nearly every thought I had on it. It's fresh again, because I picked it up again after a three month long hiatus.
