Believe it or not Tali is my front line fighter. I hook her up with cryo. She freezes crap as they fight her drone and then me and Garrus take 'em out long range.

I like to be right up in the action, so I take Tali with me, while Garrus/Thane/Legion snipes from behind. Works like a charm, since it got me through insanity.

Tali + Grunt is an amazing combo for Soldier. The drone forces enemies the other way so everyone can get to CQC or get clear concussive shots off; had an epic moment tonight where Tali's drone shocked an enemy out of cover, then Grunt sent her flying off the side of the building with an "IMPACT SHOT!". Half expected to see Q*Bert swears coming from where she fell.

Part of the problem with character creation - at least on the 360 - is that I can't view Shepard from all angles.

Hmmm... superfluous "we'll".  No clue what I was trying to type.

Anyway, what I was getting at was:  Does whoever femShep pairs up with provide her with a support network, an in-crowd, a "family." 

I could actually see her being a little wary of femShep/Garrus.  The same way she's concerned that her own relationship with maleShep isn't going to make him happy.

Indeed.
Would love that, or at least the ability to go back and re-edit during gameplay maybe at the cost of a few minerals or something from the tech lab.

Yeah I know wha tyou mean, your kinda stuck in that you only have liek 3 types of eye shapes IIRC to pick from.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think Tali's thoughts would be on femShep/Garrus?

At least the expressions improved a lot from Mass Effect. Both of my Shepard's looked constipated when they told Saren to commit suicide.

Mine still looked kinda mutt-like in ME1, but at least had a badass scar to go with it.  The one that sits on the cheekbone and then trails down into the stubble.
