Also note Tali's apparently easy friendship with Kasumi.

Edit:  unless of course you assume that Kasumi is just spying on her.  But then who exactly is Tali taking butterflies and rainbows to?

In my head, Garrus. Out of anyone else on the squad, I think she'd confide in Garrus. I don't think Tali would intentionally be flowers and puppies about how she speaks about Shepard, but I think Kasumi noticed it in her tone and her words.

Yea, but I think that would be more a "I hope this works out" concern than a "this is a bad idea" concern. I mean, she still goes on with a romance with dudeshep despite the concerns.

I wonder if she talks about that stuff with Gabby?

Good question.  Maybe.  But maybe she'd prefer not to have Gabby's vestigial twin Kenneth listening in.

I really don't think Kasumi has a reason to spy on her.
Given her personality, though, I'd say that while she likes Tali, she'll never really 'open-up' to her. Tali is just being her normal, open and social self.

Well considering Tali is the only other female on the ship who isn't crazy, aloof, silly, or got an alpha female complex, and is the only one femshep has known for a while, then yea, you could say that.  She's certainly the only real "friend" material for my femshep anyway.

This is why so many of us appreciate both Garrus and Tali. They are there for Shepard, you can say more than the rest of the crew. You've journeyed two impossible missions with them, you've fought with them at your side, you bled with them, you share that kinship. In a story like this, we value what we have letft, and these two follow and are friends.

I always thought Tali would be a little shy about talking with relationships with femshep. I think she would look up to her like a big sis. I see them having an easy friendship but I can also see Tali getting a little embarrassed if femshep brought up the "particulars" of her relationships. However, Tali is also kinda inquisitive, so I think she'd be open to talking once the initial embarrassment was gone. I think she could be concerned but I don't know that she would ever say that aloud. Mostly I think she would think Shep knew what she was doing. Does that make sense?

Tali had long talks with Kasumi about M!shep. "talk about you in that rainbows and butterflies kinda way."  So I don't really see her as being reserved in the relationship category atleast wiht her friends.

Yea, but that is her relationship with another crew member on equal footing.  Asking her commanding officer about hers seems another thing altogether.  I think she could talk about it, but I don't know that she would bring it right up.  I think she'd wait for femshep to bring it up.

I agree as well. There's a certain level of danger and I think Garrus & Tali may raise that issue out of concern for the health of two - but as you say, really just hope that everything turns out well, in spite of those difficulties.

I'll agree with that.
Knowing what we do about Tali, I'd say it's safe to assume that Tali ends up talking about him a lot even if she doesn't mean to.

I don't think we can actually say for certain that Tali actually talked to Kasumi. Kasumi literally says that she watches the Normandy crew - that's her thing - she watches and observes.

Absolutely agree.  I can see her kind of trying to sneak around it, but not really understand how obvious she's being.  Like going to Mordin for antiseptics.

Mordin:  Antiseptics?  Certainly, however, such a volume?  Unnecessary.

Tali:  Er... I thought I'd pick up some extra.  Just in case.

Mordin:  Hmmm.  Use this.  Less irritating to human skin.

Tali:  Oh!  But... uh...  *mumble mumble* Thank you.

I love bringing Tali and Garrus with me at the end of the game. There's something that just feels right about having them with me to take down the Reaper base, like they deserve to be a part of it.

Tali and Garrus have a strange relatinship with Shepard, born of there
tiem fighting together. They are the ones that seem to break the edicate
of "ranks" and know then to talk to him as Friends. They seem to not be
as much recruited in a army to serve Shepard then friends asked to help
him out with his problem. SO yo usee times when Tal iand Garrus talk
back to shepard, and tell him his Ideas suck. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

Ok, I've been staring at the following section of BTV for like... twenty minutes.  I'm editing it, and I just can't get it to sound right.  Could the brilliant writers here offer any advice?

It was Shepard's turn to ask a question. “Your still sending young
quarians on pilgrimage?”

Both
Tali and Han'Gerrel nodded, although it was Gerrel who replied.
“Yes. We still need many supplies in order to expand our towns,
making the gifts brought back even more important. But it is getting
hard. Some are arguing that sending young quarians on pilgrimage is
hurting our growth. That they would be better used here, helping us
build. That argument can mostly be countered by the fact that the
Pilgrimage is a tradition, and that we need supplies, as I said.”

“You
make it sound like there is a second argument for not sending them.”
Tali prompted.

“Yes.”
Han said, shifting in his chair so that the sun coming in the window
behind him fell upon his grey veil. “Some are saying that its
almost a punishment. That sending them out in envirosuits, when they
could be adapting to life here, is harsh.”

“That
is hard to counter.” Shepard replied.

“Indeed.
Especially when you think of what the situation will be like in
twenty years. When quarians born on Rannoch will reach the age in
which they would leave Rannoch. Being born, living as a child upon
this planet, should quicken their adaption time. It should
strengthen their immune systems to the point that they can actually
be outside of the protective bubbles we quarians use as children most
of the time.”

Tali,
who had grown quite still as Gerrel spoke of the possibilites quarian
children now had, finally spoke. “Will... will they even need to
wear an envirosuit?”

Gerrel
shrugged. “We don't know, not yet, but you hit the problem upon
the head. What if they don't? Can we really force them into one,
just so they can be sent out abroad?”

((This takes place on Rannoch, two years after the first quarians returned, BTW))

Good point, but Tali is also a social creature by nature and I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't at least approach the woman once or twice while on the ship. Tali's probably thinking that it's nice to have another woman on the ship who isn't crazy or, you know, Miranda.

I am saddend I can not post mine.  Additionally, I am doubly saddened that I can not recreate his face in ME2 on the 360.  I have neither the correct skin tones, nor have I been able to get the eyes or features right.  Which sucks, because I'd like to think about changing either the hair or the beard.  Oh well

You use "That" a lot.  A bunch of sentences start with it.

Edit:  Also, I don't recall Han speaking so formally.

I loved the development Garrus had in ME2. In ME1 he was very easy to like because he looked up to Shepard - and you could mentor him. In ME2, they turned Garrus into an even more of a badass - and Shepard's pal. On a squad full of crazies and Cerberus enthusiasts, Garrus is among the few my Shepard would ever feel open with. It's as Garrus says in his romance - Garrus will never be uncomfortable with what they talk about. And it's awesome.
