Agreed, it really hurt ME2 for me.  Hard for me to get immersed in the game when the camera is panning away from what I'm supposed to be seeing

Though I think the reason was more to build suspense for ME3 rather than keep the mystique.  Unless Bioware is completely confused on why people like Tali, because the mystique is way down the list on reasons she's popular

Really? I don't see it...

I never factored in mystique to why I liked the character. Her character was never built around mysteriousness. She was quite open in ME1. TIM  has the "mysteriousness" going for her. Not Tali.

The descriptions in the books is very vague, though. They're not even giving me a mental image of what the quarians might look like.

But that's what I want anyway. An interesting blend. Vespaz pulled it off flawlessly. It can be done.
