Okay, let me get this clear.

I'd rather beg on my knees for help from the Alliance or any other faction than Cerberus.

They can't even fix a broken chair. About five of them would probably just stab themselves to death with the pointy end. They would probably just damage the weapon instead of fixing it.

They are utterly pathetic when it comes to...well, anything.

I won't let them do it.

They are powerful and have nearly unliminited resourses who knows how strong we are I am not saying Shepard should stay alied with them but for now we need them after the reapers are gone we should get rid of them

Our buddy Chorbin was working off of old data. That every 50k years thing was what the protheans canceled. We shouldn't have to worry about that.



That said, its unclear how far away the reapers were, so they still could show up at any time.

I say, let them come. Want to see the faces of the council once they arrive. Care to say 'we dismiss that claim'? I don't think so. It would be epic to fight in ground-side in a massive war against reaper drones or something similar in one of the citadel race's homeworlds.

Earth HAS to be in it. Want to see the reaper blowing s**t up.

Xen is a little loony, there's something technically wrong in her way of thinking. Her last mail about restarting what Rael's research has produced is disturbing, but did give some insight.

I'm guessing an anti-synthetic weapon in development by the Quarians. Not for the reapers, but for the Geth. The Quarians will be packing a powerful arsenal against the reapers without them knowing it.

I think the weapon should be left in the hands of Tali and the Alliance. If it were given to the Council it would be locked away forever or destroyed, to the quarians, they'd just use it to destroy the Geth and that's all and to Cerberus, well, they'd destroy every race and then it'd be too late to stop the Reapers.

I have thought that if they started their journy to our galaxy at the end of ME2 I think we have 4-10 yearsuntill they arrive

Hmm....let's put it in Tali's hands.  I trust her.  I do not trust the council. 

Having such a weapon in quarian hands might teach the council a much-needed lesson in humility.

I have a completely different view of TIM than most people.  He isn't Darth Vader or Xen or some kind of evil genius bent on destroying the galaxy.  Cerberus doesn't have the strength to withstand any kind of concerted effort to destroy them, and he knows it.  The only thing he is going to ever do is hide in the background and work on stuff like better weapons and biotics for humanity.  If he gets that weapon working, he'll sell it to someone else and use the profits to try and develop something new, like a vita chamber for humanity or something else.  That could give them the upper hand.

He is never going to attack/threaten the galaxy, or antagonize Shep in any way because he has nothing to gain from it.

TIM acquired reaper-tech in Retribution--somehow. The Collectors are capable of detecting a stealthed Normandy SR-1 and rip its hull to shreds, spacing the Commander.

With TIM acquiring a reaper-tech, a stealthed Normandy SR-2 is not that much of an improvement. I have a feeling Cerberus will be going up against Shepard's crew to get something.

The Illusive Man + Death Star= Genocide+Hell. The Illusive Man is too racist to concentrate on the Reapers. However, he does realise thay are a threat, which is more than can be said for the Council. That said, I think I prefer ignorant fools who could be persuaded than a complete nutter running the show.

Of course he isn't going to antagonize Shep. At the end of the day he A realises the galaxy needs him to stop the Reapers and B he knows he can be killed by Shep at any time. I also agree Cerberus can't wage a full on war and are more focused on development for humanity but he would use the weapon to wipe out the other races as he believes humanity must progress without them.

He would attack Shepard through kidnapping Tali or something else so that he could gain control over Shepard

First of all, I highly doubt that weapon is capable of wiping out all non human life in the galaxy.  It killed one reaper, and that's it.  The weaponry available in the ME universe is scary, like M.A.D. all over again.  It would take a pretty big ace in the hole to take everyone out before they could retaliate.
