It's the quarians who needs a new point of view instead of believing that the destruction/conquering of the geth is the right thing to do..
I hope we have that option.
Indeed. Even if it takes a very complex list of choices from ME1/ME2, there should be some way of making peace without long-term conflict or Xen getting her Geth army.

Why not? Yours might be better!

You have to spin it in a way that is interesting to you. For example, I wanted to do a pretty standard Tali/Shep story, but that is obviously way overdone. So I overlaid an in-depth look at quarian technology and culture, and I ended up with Beneath the Veil.

Ok, maybe she's on a standard power-trip in a mad-scientist kinda' way. She'll be an obstacle in ME3, either forcing us to get the weapon she's developing against the Geth to be used to fight the reapers, or to stop her Geth army...which is unlikely.
...renegade Shep approving Geth under quarians, anyone?
My paragon Shep would do it in a heartbeat.
So you approve of re-enslavement of a nascent (300 years is young) sentient race? Not paragonic at all. Sorry. This isn't even in the morally grey area like the Genophage or the Heretic Rewrite/Destroy conundrum.
This is a case of moral absolutes versus moral relativism. Does one sacrifice one race to benefit many?
Comes down to who and what you are, and not just in a game.
Would I do it for Tali and her people? Yes.
Would I do it to stop the Reapers? Again, Yes.
Choice may vary.
When you can just as well push for reconciliation between the two races, the moral ramifications are clear. The peace-seekers in the Flotilla are not on the fringe. A freakin' Admiral espouses that stance. The Geth already have consensus that reconciling with their creators is a long-term, if somewhat unreachable (currently) goal.
Especially seeing that the Geth already expressed they percieve a mutual threat to their existence in the Reapers with organics.
Paragons are about accord, peace, and righteous indignation at bigotry and malice. Subjugating the Geth with Xen is decidedly NOT paragonic. Granted, the morality system in the game doesn't really have allowance for the morally grey subjects I mentioned, but Xen's plan with the Geth is not one of these.

Raarg! I thought hitting me on that was CC/Rip/Liv/Nuke's domain. Now I can add you to that list.

Oh well. Gimme a while, and I'll have enough ideas for something. Till then, I'm going to lament that my morning after-work ritual will be to read 50 pages of this thread just to catch up.

The fact that someone has reached the status of admiral while supporting peace *in spite* of reclaiming Rannoch says everything that anyone needs to know. Killing the geth is not on the minds of all quarians. When you add reclaiming Rannoch, with all that means to the quarians, along with peace, that's going to easily be the accepted choice.

Which is a rather interesting take on the whole romance. Through the Shin bolts made me cringe I understand it gets the point across how much of a prison the suits really are and how trapped she is in the suit.

That means you read both of my main stories, because we talked about A Creed Unhinged.... right?
Thanks for the compliment too. I like to think that it was a new way to look at the relationship. Or at least it make you look at Tali's envirosuit differently.

Well, anyway you look at it, most of my concepts will probably be thrown out when ME3 emerges.
Oh well. Getting 25+ reviews per chapter makes me happy.

Makes me wonder how Shala became an admiral, since she apparently don't give a vorcha's ass about the fleet...

FTL speeds given by codex imply you could cross the galaxy in 22 years.Phil725 wrote...
Though that would pretty much shut them down completely if possible. It would take lifetimes to cross from one populated area to the next. Just every thousand years or so have the people on the system that the reapers are heading to move somewhere else. Civilization monkey in the middle
But they are outside the galaxy. Pretty far away from it too.

The prevailing theory seems to be that Veetor is Raela's biological father. The nurse that gives birth being the one in game that clearly is all about the Veetor

Yes I did Creed Unhinged is about Shepherd looking for a way to bring Tali back.... yes i remember now that I really like. I always like pushing hero's to the edge and back.
Your take on the suits show them for what they are prisons and not just enivo -suits.
