Question for everyone:
Anyone want to start their own side in ME3?
I mean the Council is incompetent beyond forgivable and Cerberus are extremely amoral. I want to be able to create my own faction. Team Galactic Rejects I believe was one term given. Where if you saved the genophage cure, got the Quarians their homeworld back, have the geth and rachni on your side, you would be the most powerful military in the entire galaxy. Hell even the Geth alone were about to take on the Citadel fleet. According to ME2, the rachni are more advance than any other race (based on the conversation with the Asari agent who mentioned her ship being repaired).
I want to be able to basically say to the galaxy, "Gave upon my army and despair!"
Would be awesome to really give the Council **** too. "You can either step in line or get out of my way, but you will not stand in my way!"

I see this as the only possible direction for ME3 personally. Good guy or bad guy, working for anyone is pointless.

Greetings, Talimancers I have subjected myself to cryogenic sleep so that when I awake, Mass Effect 3 will be out!
(looks at the date)
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%****************************************! THAT WAS A ONE-USE CRYOGENIC TANK, TOO! BOSH'TETS!
Well, in any case, what news of the Net, Mancers of Tali? I see the long-awaited Liara DLC is getting released, but any news I've missed regarding ME3?

I thought he meant Tali.
Oh, well.
Let's hope that instability Veetor has isn't something genetic.
I think Raela's journey is proof enough that it isn't
And its been discussed back and forth, though him meaning the nurse makes some more sense in my mind.

"With a mass effect drive, roughly a dozen light-years can be traversed in the course of a day's cruise.
The precise maximum speed and the time this acceleration can be maintained varies depending on the exact type of FTL drive being used. In general, the larger the drive, the longer the ship can run at FTL."
And considering that Sovereign could land on planets with his core, I think we can assume that the Reapers are way faster than the average ship.
Just saying...

I also found that the Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light years in diameter.
But by the looks of the end of ME2, the Reapers were maybe 10000 light years away. At a rate of 12ly/d (they porbably can travel faster) that means it would take them over 800 days to reach the edge of the galaxy. That's over two years.

Plenty of time to create a force large enough to make it somewhat difficult to kill everyone.

my story does start with Shepard being betrayed by the council and he did blow the base so he is more or less on his own for now even though he hasn't gone through his trail yet.InHarmsWay wrote...

The way I see it, Bioware could realistically make them show up at pretty much any time depending on how they fill in the blank space.

The Normandy requires fuel to traverse between the stars, in system it does not (Not sure why though)
Just how big a gas tank do the Reapers have?

We've already discussed how power corrupts. Is there any reason to suppose Shep wouldn't be corrupted? Is there any basis to think anyone wouldn't be affected?

The reapers have ridiculous tech capabilities. I wouldn't call anything Bioware came up with for them outlandish personally, basis in fact or not

I don't think they're using the same kind of fuel we do. They have been doing this for millions of years. I'm sure they've come up with something more efficient.
Would look pretty ridiculous if a two kilometer long Reaper docked with a fuel station and asked for full tank, a hot dog and a Coke.

A hot dog contains meat slurry. Which is about what a Reaper's brain is...
Hmm...Quarians eat meat paste. You don't suppose...no...it couldn't be....could it?
The secret weapon consists of hungry quarians?

Even Tali would agree that you require a reaction mass to move an object in space. Gravity propulsion is an option to use an external mass I suppose but at the Reapers current range from the Milky Way the gravity pull would be almost non-existant.Lividity Jones wrote...
