I'm with you there Rip. Sometimes cuddling is an amazing thing. But then sometimes a man feels a need. A dark amoral need. Something that love is indeed apart of. But then there is that almost overriding feeling known as lust. Sometimes a cuddle just isn't enough. Sometimes a kiss isn't enough. Only one thing will satisfy.

But unfortunately a cuddle will have to be enough for Shepard most of the time. A rare occasion a kiss. An almost impossible occasion for more. The love for Tali is not for those weak of will and convictions. It would only end in heart ache for an emotionally fragile Quarian. The things Shepard took advantage of in previous relationships is now a very rare thing. Shepard will have to be strong and tolerant of the limitations and as any man can attest to, it's not an easy thing to withstand when something that was a constant is no longer.

Basically?

When my Shepard wakes up in the morning and pushes his Carnifex to his head, and he asks himself why he isn't going to pull that trigger today, he thinks of Tali.

She's the only reason he hasn't voided Cerberus' warranty.

Tali's immune system will adapt, the time between when they can be together will only get shorter as time passes.  The most dangerous part was their first time together, and that reaction was minor.  Anytime Tali can take her visor off they can do whatever they want.  I don't think that time apart is really that long.  And I don't think it really matters to Shep

That said, who says they are limited to only cuddling in between times Tali can be out of the suit?  Tali said she wanted their first time to be real, without nerve stimulators and such.  She never said she didn't have them

Nathaniel  Shephard found something in her that he sought all his life.  A life  of combat, of death, of night plagued  by the sins of his past.   In her eyes, in her embrace  resting  their together in the dim lights of his cabin he had found what he looked for his whole life...  peace

I could easily go on for page after page with this, but the simple answer is: Tali has become the reason. The reason he gets up in the mornings, the reason he continues to fight for a hopeless cause, the reason he hasn't be crushed by the world, the reason why every ****ty thing that has ever happened to him in his life no longer seems as terrible as it once did.
Shepard has found something in Tali: that feeling of 'correctness'. This works. They work. He doesn't know if it was though fate or destiny, or intervention, or just plain old dumb luck, but in Tali Shepard has finally found the one thing he had never had before: a place to belong.

I'm not so sure Rip. Something has to be inserted. And I don't see any holes on that suit. Seeing as how is was designed to not have holes.
