I'm not saying it's not possible I'm just saying I don't see how it could work. Also it would be the equivalent of a fleshlight compared to the real thing they both feel very close to the same thing however there is more to it than just touch. There's the smell of sex and the feeling of the bodies natural lubricant that will not happen with just nerve stimulation. There is so much more that makes the act the great thing it is than just the basic feeling.

Well of course it's not going to be as good as the real thing, but it's also not going to kill anyone either.

Sometimes you make due with what you have.

Wasn't that whole thing just a mass ridiculing of people who wanted Tali/Garrus romances between ME1 and ME2?

Between a social-loser incapable of making a proper move on an overly-talkative, bubbly girl who is way too open with her sexual deviancy?

classy, Bioware.

Didn't one Quarian on Illium seem about ready to use her nerve stimulators in public? Is it that subtle?

VGQ is anything but subtle

And she's also either a little dense or is actively ignoring some advances so obvious that even I couldn't miss them.

Its times like this that I curse FZT being a bareface.  That ship had so much potential :(

He's a bareface?

Well then, that makes him the spawn of evil and thus must be put down.

I know, at first I thought he was just a nice guy, trying to help out a friend who kept on picking the wrong guys, really cared for her and all.  Then that.  Now I'm sure he's just some loser that saw VGQ in a Fornax and is willing to pay for her meals and drinks in the off chance of something happening.

Yes Cream that's exactly it. You're making due with what you got. Now I am completely positive of how closely I'm going to stick with Tali. But for some reason I like to talk about the downside of it. To me it makes it more real. More identifiable. Which in turn makes the experience that much better. Life isn't all sunshine and puppies. It's a dark scary place even if you aren't trying to save the galaxy. And I can't identify with something perfect without strife and downsides.

Totally agree.  Without a level of pain, of fear.... you would never know the good.

And now a second selection, to add a level of sad to the previously posted level of d'aww:

Once again fearing that he had made some incredible mistake, Shepard let go abruptly, various apologies spilling from his mouth. Tali did not immediately respond, instead moving to simply show him the cause of her pain. A couple seconds of fiddling with the friction seals upon her arms allowed her to slowly pull her left glove down. As she pulled it past her wrist, a single drop of blood rolled down her arm, towards her elbow. "That wasn't your doing." She said quickly, attempting to alleviate any regret that the human had in trying to help her. Wiping the blood away, while simultaneously pulling the glove completely off, Tali then turned the garment inside-out, displaying the large needle that resided there. "You couldn't have known that I have these in, Shepard, so don't start apologizing. They just make my wrists sore."

I can't be the only one that sees VGQ living on Illium and doesn't instantly think that she's working on tech pieces in some garage somewhere :?

Wouldn't there be a contract on confidentiality for identity purposes? A quarian may want to have this, too.

By the way, did Nuclear mention when he'd be posting the rest/more of his Lovecraftian fiction? Does he always do it Wednesday evening/Thursday morning?

I wish I could remember the exact quote, but as Mordin once said; life is full of compromise.

There is a lot of that that goes into being with Tali or any quarian. Hell, it goes in with ANY relationship ever. But the thing is; if you care about a person, than you're willing to do whatever is within your power for them.

With Shepard and Tali, it means giving up a lot of the 'simple pleasures', but they do it because it's the person that they love, not the sex.

When you love someone, you look over the imperfections, the flaws, the inconveniences. No life isn't sunshine and puppies, but it's amazing how being with the right person can sometimes make it feel that way.

Its doubtful that he would know her from the magazine seeing her outside, considering the suit.  That said, if she's willing to fire up nerve stimulators in public, I could see her letting some details of her personal work slip in normal conversations at a bar.

I never bring them up.

BTV is 19724 words long.  Less than 500 talk about them.

Probably because his chapters are fewer in number, but greater in length.

Well BTV only has three chapters.  You have six so far.

Maybe its the very deliberate format I follow?  The twelve sections I postulated each suit is made of must be put on in order...

Yes, it does.

But you find those simple pleasures in other things. The human mind is adaptable like that, and you learn to attach significance to things you might otherwise overlook.

The real pleasure is in devoting yourself to that person, not in any physical act. The sunshine and the puppies are always there, whatever else is in the distance. If the person you are with is important enough to you, you take what they give you in whatever form they give it to you, and it is always enough.
