Exactly Cream. It's about the feeling of love and it's ability to deal with the sacrifices that come with it. I myself am currently dealing with the kind of problem Shep has with Tali. My wife currently has ovarian cancer and sex is not an option. I haven't seen or "been" with her in about ten months. And even when I finally do manage to get to see her the other part is out of the question. It's painful just to touch around it for her. So sex is out. And it'll be tough to deal with when I'm finally with her. But such is life and love. Bad things happen and you have to make do. I just found that my current situation makes it easier to identify with the relationship my Shep has with Tali. It's amazing how something that sucks so much can make something a little bit more enjoyable. But anyway sorry for rambling on.

I think I'm going to go.



I finally have an idea for another short story thanks to a comment from Phil and I want to at least put the ground work into it while it's still fresh.

And before anyone says anything; No, no one dies. Is it a happy story? Of course not. Ya'll should know better by now, but it's not going to be along the lines of what I did in Drifting. . . or what Rip and Liv are doing in Reckoning.



Anyway, keelah se'lai Talithread. Wish me luck that I get this fic to a state that's worth seeing the light of day.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Hic. There's no need to apologize. Something that heavy can't be easy to talk about. And while I'm not a praying man, know that my heart and best wishes go out to both you and your wife.

The only story long enough to constitute 'chapters' was Drifting, but it didn't feel right to add them to that story.
