Shephard * ducks kick*  No  Tali stay out of it  * She grabs him by the Collar before slamming him hard to the ground*   

Sensei:  You have been neglecting  your training.    

Shephard: Hello to you too Sensei.  *picking himself off the ground*  

Sensei:  Forgive my  students ill manners and you are my dear.?

Tali:   Tali'Zorah vas Normandy.    

Sensei: Aahh I can see why my  student is rather taken with your aura balances his, come i have some Turian Tea if you would like some. 

Tali: Thank you.  

Sensei:  Pup go fetch some fresh water from the spring for us .  

Shephard: Hey  I'm not...  

Sensei:  *Glare*    

Shephard: Yes  Sensei 

Tali: How do you do that.. 

Sensei:  Sit with me  child, I will tell you

I wrote my own Colonist origin story where Shepard tells Tali about his life growing up as a Biotic.

A Biotic on Mindoir

[Someone With Mass]

Shepard: Oh, look. It's you, Tali. What is this room?

Tali: This is just a couple of months before I left the fleet to begin my Pilgrimage. It's a lab where we test and analyze everything from small data nodes to...well, mostly technical things like how to bypass circuits in complex systems.

Shepard: Why is that tube smoking? Woah, that can't be healthy.

Tali: Let's just say that chemistry was never my thing.

Hmm, I feel like I should write a melodramatic Colonist background story too, to fit in with the crowds, y'know.

It seems as if BioWare knew those that picked Colonist had this trait... Just look at "I remember me"!

Shepard: Sometimes, I dream of her dying in my arms after the Batarians left. She survived the initial attack, but couldn't survive due to her illness. *turns to Tali* You reminded me of her, Tali. Sometimes I see her reflection in you, how you are selfless, caring, and...

Tali: *places her hand on his shoulder* Shepard....you have to move on. I know its not the right thing for me to say to someone of your state, but...seeing you like this pains me too.

Shepard: *grasps Tali's hand* Yeah...I know. I should move on.... *hugs Tali* Thank you, Tali...thank you.

Tali: *returns his hug* I will always be by your side, Shepard. Always...

I dunno, Earthborn just resonates better. In relation to Tali, not having the love of parents, yet having the support of others, would probably go over better than MY PARENTS ARE DEEEEAAAaaaad.

True. But remember, Earthborn Shep was in an anti-alien gang, once...

He got out and learned that prejudice is bad, acceptance is good, and that everyone would be friends if they could hold hands in a bigass circle and sing kumby-****ing-ya.

Earthborn is where its at.  We've had to fight for everything we have gotten in life, and now that we have something special, its not going anywhere

Shepard: Yes.

And from that point onward, Shala became Shepard's surrogate mom too.
