Good point.  Though I don't think the problem will be a huge deal with this generation of quarians, who have been raised with this communal system instilled in them.  Its also worth noting, that the human nature that sabotages situations like the flotilla doesn't seem to be there with the quarians.  I could see them changing economic systems before it becomes a real problem.

The quarians have at least avoided a black market on the flotilla so far, that gives hope.

Which wouldn't stop humanity from wrecking the fragile balance in a matter of months.  The quarians are at least a little better there.

EDIT: Nitefyre, right now I'm playing Zaeed's loyalty mission.  I'm naming the next blue sunny I come across after you, and I am going to beat him excessively after I burn him with incindiery rounds.  NO KILLING TALI.  <_<

 

You know that plot bunny has  jumping up  and down  for weeks... I wanted to write something sad with a bittersweet over tone.  Hence the title  Burdens  and Sacrifice.  

**** its not like the man  wanted too but what would you do in that situation?

I think the other squad mates have some better lines in combat. "Want some more" is quite good, of course, though.

I did. To give Jack some clothes (finally), and partially to get Garrus some fixed armor. I think they may just be spacing out the alternative appearance packs. Maybe the next one will come out around when the Liara DLC is.

Prefer white and blue. What I would like most is giving Tali some more armor, and more battle equipment like ammo pouches, etc.

This would be acceptable. We want to see Colossus Tali, Repaired Legion, and maybe a more matured Grunt, though actual armor for Miranda and Jacob would make us hate them less.

End flashback  

*Shephard fist connected just  over her heart the shockwave blowing the back  her suit out.  She  feel in his arms  coughing out a small trickle of blood. Harbinger dark will fading. She smiled feeling his arms  hold her close.*  

Tali: Thank...you..  * Reaching up, smiling wiping  the tears from his eyes* 

Shephard: Why... just why?    

Tali:Its okay,  You gave me something that I never thought  have Love... With you I was not prisoner  of my fate.  You set me free.   Promise me... that you want give up,  that you won't close your heart.. 

Shephard: Tali, I... can't. I don't have anything left to give.. 

Tali: Take care  of them for me,  Garrus and Kasumi, they'll  need you. Miranda too she may not show but she's a good person.  Promise me you'll live and cherish every moment. 

Shephard: I promise...

Tali: I  glad, I could meet you... I don't have any ... regrets..  

*Garrus  found them  as the automatic sprinklers in the Presidium activated  pouring water onto the fires much like rain. Just over the sound of the water  Garrus  felt his heart back  hearing the wail  grief from his friend.*  

Garrus: Shephard...

Shephard:* carrying Tali*  Lets go  

Garrus: I'm sorry, I wish...

Shephard: She's free now, she gave up everything for us to be free, to have the freedom she could never have.  

*6 months  Later*  

*standing  over looking Tali resting place*  

Kasumi: Shep?   You miss her don't you..

Shephard: *closing his eyes taking in a depth breath*  I do,  I miss holding her, being with her, I miss the wonderful times we had together. Still when I close my eyes and listen on the breeze I still hear her laugh and feel her touch.  I will always cherish the time we had, it may not have been long but it was wonderful.

What I have posting in her  Fan forum sense the 1.0 thread... I'm not trolling.  Mini-Fics like this are staple in this thread... I just happened that did have a happy ending.  One where Shephard was put into a impossible hard position. Where he was stuck with either watching  Harbinger  take her over completely and watching her suffer or  kill her and harbinger both .   

I don't know  I think  I might pull it down ... It may too heavy for most to  handle.
