So. I hear that Tali Zorah is a pretty cool person. That one Quarian who was framed as stealing that Volus' credit chit in the Citadel told me that.

And I think Lia should get the thousand credits instead of Kenn. If you fix his problem with the elcor, it's just a matter of time before he has earned those credits by himself, while Lia gained nothing that might improve her situation.

No. I heard wrong, according to the guy who sells food on level 28. "Well then you heard wrong. She's the best damn person on the forum."
Edit: Or was it level 27...?

The difference that I see is that Lia chose her path, while Kenn made a mistake and needed some help to continue on his way. Lia is going out of her way, purposely choosing a more difficult pilgrimage in order to come back with a great gift. Similar to what Tali did really. Tali earned her gift, and just seems right that Lia would earn hers as well.

Sure, but it still wouldn't hurt to help her.
And those credits doesn't necessarily have to go to buying that ship. I was thinking more of a nicer place to stay for a while or some better food to eat.
She still has to work for her Pilgrimage gift, I just want to give her a little better way to live while she's doing it.

It did seem odd, though, that you can give one quarian a chunk of change, but when Lia talks about living in a homeless shelter there's no 'be nice' paragon option even with Tali in the party.
Exactly. The schooling of the volus and the C-Sec officer was pretty well done, but not many walked out from that with a smile on their face.

Apparently telling Harot to crack down on Kenn for no reason is an acceptable renegade option, but using your spectre status to punch out C-Sec officers and punt volus isn't <_<

Aw, I missed my chance to ****** everyone off after making such in-roads in this community last night. The evidence at the trial. I suppose if I said I'd like to pick up that topic for debate in the future would just make many people groan and loathe the day.
I typically don't give the evidence, though. I can be a hardcore ass, but most games I'd rather pick the decisions that make me feel good. Like watching The Right Stuff or, ah, Galaxy Quest. Yes, those are my "make me feel better about life" movies.
I just have thoughts about what happens if I transfer the situation into a real life scenario. Collider once told me that such a comparison would never work because pushing human values on an alien civilization isn't quite like pushing human values on a human nation. And yes, the whole purpose of the loyalty missions is to be there for your team above all else so they can be at their best on a suicide mission that could potentially affect the entire galaxy. It's just an exercise in playing who I am versus who my Shepard is, I suppose. Be keen to talk about if anyone else wanted to.
*snip*
I don't see it as pushing my values, i see it as more defending and helping a friend/love thats in need at the time. I don't personal care if the Quarians accept my values of friendship or family because I not there defending the human race, I am there defending Tali. Still that being be said Quarian values seem to be similar to humans enough to value, family, loyalty to nation and close family bonds to understand. One could say that the Quarians are value these things more than humans do, considering the situation.

I doubt that the choices we made in ME2 will matter that much we all saw how our choices in from ME1 which wasn't exactly what I would call big influence in ME2.Tairis Deamhan wrote...
Well as the CO Shepard's ideals are going to influence the people under him. They can be influenced by the people he chooses as his 'right hand'. IE obviously a Tali romanced Shepard is going to have a bent thats more favorable towards quarians.

Not denying that I am talking about on a more wide scale culture values not individual values. Cultural he Quarians mostly likely value family, loyalty, and close bonds more than us because of their living standards. Your life depends on the person next you.

You guys should have someone archiving and categorizing all the topics that had been spoken at all the Tali threads, like one of the great members of the Clan V did with the Garrus one.
Not just for the sake of knowing what has been already discussed, but to be able to see how does the point of view and the general agreement on certain topics changes with time.
If only it wasn't so long... I guess this should have to be done between a few people.

So that cultural imperitive is there. What I mean is that Shepard can steer his people one way, but his people can also push him in certain directions. He's more likely to help the quarians you run across in the game when Tali is someone he values highly.

Thats a good Idea, and it would be interesting but really most of the topics would about the immune system and the same arguments repeated again and again.
We had a pretty good discussion about what movies/eastern/western/anime we would show Tali and why. How the themes and characters would relate to her why she would like them ,etc
